Maybe I don't have the right email. I have recieved 2 so far. One that just has a link to my email address and the other just takes me to the SMT Imagine site.

It could be possible that it doesn't allow free e-mails. I know a lot of things like this usually don't allow Yahoo, Hotmail and so forth. Are you using any of those?

If that's the case, though, I don't know why they'd send you an e-mail at all. You'd think it'd just come up on the page.

Once, or if, I get going on this, maybe we should sticky some sort of faq regarding starting up and macros or something.

You mentioned you got the e-mail for it, right? Basically, you're just looking for one with a link in it that has a bunch of numbers at the end. Once you get that, I believe you're directed to page with some other information and you can just download the client.

It turns out her site was down pretty much only the day I looked when posting here. It's back up and I talked to her a bit. So that's good to see.

I imagine so. I signed for it about two days ago. It's ridiculously easy to and in some ways it's surprising how little they ask of you in order to sign up for it.

Obviously, being completely in Japanese, I couldn't figure most of it out. I made a character, got through the virtual areas and made my way outside... where I proceeded to get my ass handed to me.

There's a few moves I couldn't figure out. I forget the name of those monsters with onion heads and chicken bodies that fly around, but I was unable to harm them. Any clue on how that move is supposed to be pulled off? I added it to my actions menu, but I must be missing something.

That's kind of one interesting aspect of the title. It seems more heavily based upon very specific weak points than other MMORPGs I've played. I was also surprised that you can form some basic combos and that other moves also required approximate timings to be properly pulled off.

I am curious as to how you get demons to join you. I figure it requires a certain level at least.

I've not tried any of those, personally. eBay has really been a bust for a while, though. I find something every so often on there... if you're ever bidding against someone named Semjaza Azazel, that's me lol.

I've found otaku.com to be pretty good. They don't hold on to items long, but if you go there when something's newer you can make out pretty well. Prices are usually fair. There's some Persona 3 stuff up there now, as well as those newer hardcover Kazuma Kanenko art books.

I'm not really familiar with things like this, so forgive me if this is kind of a "Duh" question, but is this the Japanese beta we're talking about? A girl over at the BYTM forums said she had gotten in. That was quite a while ago, though so... kinda confused. >.<

It's Japanese, but generally people find ways around that sort of stuff.

I'm honestly starting to get the impression that Argilla was swallowed whole by the internet. I've not seen her in quite some time and her main site appears to be down... which is a shame, because I would have loved to at least have archived it  here.

Thanks for joining, all of you. I know this place is slow, but I'm making a bit more an attempt to keep it cleaned up (Camanche! :rambo:) and garner some more discussion. I'm hoping to run a contest soon, with an actually very nice prize, so we'll see how that goes.

I got my *current* copy off of Ebay a year or so ago for around $30, but it didn't come with the box. I'm tempted to pick up Rhapsody from them though...even though I collect, I passed up a chance for the game a while ago.

Unfortunately, I think both of them are sold out again at Game Quest Direct. It did help bring down the eBay prices, though.

I did get a response via email, but it didn't link me to anything. I'm wondering if I didn't get selected. I will maybe try registering again under a different email address.

What exactly is the method to do that anyway?

Honestly, I'm sad to admit that I've still not even played this game aside from the demo.

As far as I know, there aren't any other tricks beyond that. My guess is that your luck stats might help there, but I have absolutely no proof of that.

It's been a REALLY long time since I've played the original Persona and I find it pretty difficult to go back to... So there's not much more I could possibly add.

I'm picking up Rogue Galaxy today too. I enjoyed the demo. It's funny, but the things a lot of reviews kind of complained about sounded good to me lol.

I'm looking forward to some other upcoming games, too. Crackdown for 360 looks like a blast. I enjoyed the demo of that as well. And then there's that Unemployed Ninja Izuna game for DS that Atlus is putting out... it's a dungeon crawler of sorts.

I registered for the beta tonight. We will see what happens next....

Awesome. Let us know if you get in, as there's certainly a lot about its system that is pretty unclear.
