What you guys did so far is fine, don't bother to repost. That was my mistake, I just thought it would be easier to keep it together that way... but honestly, it's not like we're going to see 50 posts lol.

I think there are two endings, just some minor (but significant story wise I guess) differences I believe...

edit: I can't access that link Tony, it says I don't have enough access privileges or something.

Ha, no wonder no one ever posts in there!

Give it a try and let me know if it works this time. http://www.digitaldevildb.com/bbs/sh...=3351#post3351
243  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 U.S. Press Release and Details on: July 02, 2007, 11:45:04 AM
I'm personally not sure about that... If someone else is, feel free to say so, but otherwise assuming our interview comes to fruition I can ask that.

In any case, I'm looking for questions for Atlus from users here. If you have anything you'd like to know about Persona 3 feel free to post it at http://www.digitaldevildb.com/bbs/showthread.php?p=3351#post3351

Thanks.
244  Be Your True Mind / Find Your Voice / Persona 3 Interview Help on: July 02, 2007, 11:43:20 AM
It looks like there's some chance that we'll be having an interview with Atlus concerning Persona 3 soon. While we already have some questions we intend to ask, I'm also interested in seeing what it is visitors to this site would like to know.

So, feel free to respond to this post or e-mail me with your suggestions.  Thanks!

I never cared for Working Designs. Particularly how they'd fool around with the games themselves. For every worthwhile change they'd make some pretty boneheaded ones. I never found their translations to be all that special (particularly thanks to the jokes) and, to repeat others here, I never had a use for a single thing in those box sets.

The only real thing I got out of them was better resale value than I do for most other RPGs. I suppose that has some merit.

Now that I think about it, aside from the SMT/Devil Summoner/DDS games all the console RPGs I like are pretty old.  Haven't seen much in the genre that really strikes my fancy.  I guess Odin Sphere looks okay but I really don't care much for that kind of character design.

To be perfectly honest, I'm pretty mixed on the actual game itself. It's pretty and it's reasonably fun, but I'm almost amazed at some of the mainstream attention it's getting over, say, some of the SMT games that are arguably more involving and enjoyable.

I suppose you can't underestimate the power of 2D fandom.

The game practically revolves around your relationships with the other main characters from what I've understood about it.

Atlus's press site lists the same date as Gamestop. July 24, 2007. Obviously it can change, but it is the official date as well.

I just banned the person in question as it wasn't really necessary. Oddly, this forum is linked to from Polish websites and Russian websites and even Middle Eastern websites... so I guess those sorts of things will happen.

In any case, I've made some progress on moving that guide over. I'll post a link to it when it's finished since it might help with some of the lingering questions... although now that it's not new anymore, I don't know who even plays it.
249  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Nirvana / Re: Where can i get "Time Capsule"? on: June 20, 2007, 01:12:59 PM
Considering that "piracy" started the second any link to anything copyrighted was put in this thread I'm not sure what Emilio did any worse than anyone else in here or in other similar threads. One song or a whole album, it's the same thing.

Beyond that, I'd appreciate if you guys would just lay off of him. There is an "ignore" function, you know.  Personally, I find him rather easy to understand. ocinrep is another story lol... but honestly, I've come across people who speak English natively who write on boards more poorly than Emilio ever has. I don't think it makes him deserving of countless insults.

At the end of the day, are people going to feel worse when coming here about some guy writing posts that doesn't have English as his first language or a bunch of people being mean to him about it all the time? I'd probably say the latter... And then people wonder why he acts frustrated or upset. It's bizarre and it's kind of gone beyond being just a joke. If you want to disagree with people here, be my guest, but there certainly has to be better ways to go about it.

So, thanks.
250  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona Manga on: June 20, 2007, 10:51:43 AM
In his defense, it has to do with Persona on some level and I thought it would be nice to put it up for him. I don't think it has to be dead on from the games... it's in a similar style and certainly based upon the source material.

It's certainly not hurting much considering only a handful of people have even submitted anything at all for that section of the site. If it's bothering people that much, I can always just make another category for stuff like that. I really didn't think anyone would get bothered over it lol.
251  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: SMT: Imagine on: June 20, 2007, 10:45:59 AM
I used to have this information on the main site, but I've not had a chance to move the Imagine section over yet. It was a pretty detailed guide, I thought.

I'll try to do it soon. I've just been extremely busy.
252  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: persona remake on PS3 on: June 18, 2007, 08:11:46 AM
I think there's a very large discrepancy between using Nazi-ism in terms of history lessons (even if it's on TV) and using it for a work of fiction.

At the same time, shows like Family Guy seem to reference the guy a few times a year in some way, Seinfeld made jokes about it. Perhaps it's different if it's handled in a more "serious" fictional-ized way. As bizarre as that was in Persona 2, it's certainly not meant to be completely a joke like, say, Hitler's friendly talk show on Family Guy.

There's also countless WWII games, even including random things such as Wolfenstein. So I'm not sure how to take that. Perhaps being able to skew those as war games makes them more acceptable in the eyes of a lot of people.

Innocent Sin surely was skipped over initially because of its content, as Eternal Punishment comes afterwards. I don't think Atlus had much of an intention of bringing it out (hell, Maken X had all of that Nazi imagery removed), but certainly the sales of EP in the US had something to do with it. They don't release their sales figures here, but from all I've read it had underperformed even by their standards.

I guess through all of this is that it displays a lot of double standards and kind of a fine line where it's considered "OK" and "bad". So I don't know, I'm sure even the Family Guy and Seinfeld stuff bothers a good deal of people. In games and comedies I think it's probably smart to avoid it for many business reasons. Certainly other forms of media are less scrutinized than games are nowadays and are accepted it enough to get away with a lot more.

I don't know that I think Atlus would really get in much shit over something like that, but I can see why they'd rather just not bother. I'm sure they don't have a huge team of lawyers or the assets to help turn their image around if it goes poorly.
253  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Re: Items straight from Japan (Online Shop) on: June 07, 2007, 03:35:00 PM
Haha.

Well, in any case, I got my book and it's pretty damn awesome. It has more in it than I expected.

They actually got a copy in sooner, but apparently it was a total mess and they went and found another one. I thought that was nice. Obviously there's a fee to find the book, to buy the book and then to ship it... It's somewhat pricey, but I guess that goes with the territory. My only other option would be to fly there and get it myself.

Once they had the book, though, I got it like two days later. I usually don't even get stuff within the US that quickly lol.

So, anyway, good experience overall.
254  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 U.S. Press Release and Details on: June 07, 2007, 03:32:26 PM
All right, please stop arguing. It's pointless... move it to IMs or PMs or something if you just absolutely have to say something personal. It has nothing to do with Persona 3.

Thanks.
255  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Re: Items straight from Japan (Online Shop) on: May 12, 2007, 12:03:39 PM
Yeah, I noticed that too lol. Normally I'd have a problem with it, but this is a nice way to test this out. It seemed promising.

At this stage I've paid for the used book. I was e-mailed back saying that they will have the book this week, upon which point they'll give me the shipping and handling cost. I'm not sure what to expect there, but I've done so many Japanese based auctions and purchases that I think I'm prepared for it.

Let's hope it goes well. :rambo:
