And here - http://www.bdgamers.net/2007/02/28/devil-summoner-in-europe.html

:lurk:

Since KOEI did a Partnership with Atlus, we will most likely getting Persona 3 in Europe published by KOEI and hopefully they'll bring out FES.

Awesome, thanks for that. That's very good news.

Persona 3 is listed in GAME's official website, GAME is another video store game franchise that sells games across Europe.
They listed Koei as its publisher, I find it strange that Ghostlight didn't pick it up.

I don't see an actual publisher on what I found: http://www.game.co.uk/ViewProduct.aspx?cat=9&mid=331440

Did you find it somewhere else?

Also, Koei has announced that they will publish Persona 3 in Europe and its slated for 08 and I bet P3: Fes is on it.king

Cool, where did you read that?

I bet they'll just base all they do on Atlus USA's translation kind of like the other Euro releases... lol.

Nah, no conversation system... which is kind of the biggest disappointment about the game. Although the social link system kind of makes up for it.

After looking through the guide I have only one complaint: how come there's no section that goes over how to get specific Persona?

It doesn't even have, say, a Fusion guide? That's kind of weird.

COSPA had some really damn nice Persona 3 shirts, but there's no way I'm paying $30 (plus who knows what import fees to some buyer).

These are pretty neat. I know there's all sorts of random stuff out there, but most of what you see on eBay are One-Coin Figures, Doujinshi, posters and books.
187  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: First look at US version artbook, soundtrack, and cover on: July 25, 2007, 09:45:05 AM
You also have to bear in mind that none of the Japanese special edition Persona 3 packages came with an art book or a soundtrack at all. They came with a CD containing a couple tracks and some wallpapers (and I have those wallpapers on the site now lol). These were additional purchases on top of a game that, by default, was even more expensive than it is here (forget about the special edition packages -- even the "bonus pack"-- since the pricing was insane).

52 pages is pretty decent, certainly as what's essentially a free pack-in. I sure won't  complain about it.

As for the other art books, I own Persona 3: Perfect Works which contains a lot of art, it's only 140 pages. A lot of it would kind of be superfluous to even most fans, honestly. Even that is pretty small in size, in terms of dimensions.

I'm kind of glad to see some mentions of the loading times. They're not long, but they're incredibly frequent and sometimes for the smallest of things. It's unusual given the almost non-existent loading in SMT:N and DDS.

I'm can kind of understand IGN's spell confusion too. You really kind of need to get used to the series before Bufu just means "ice". It is weird that the Persona status screens don't give you this information... but it is actually very clear about what spells they will learn next, at least in earlier levels (it basically says the level and spell you'll learn on the side).

With Fusion the problem is, really, that a good portion of it is random. There are rules to it -- for example, healing based Persona cannot learn physical attacks (all of this is explained at the Velvet Room) -- and you can kind of work all of these together to figure out what might be carried over. I don't think it's that bad, myself.

I honestly don't think it will affect much. To the general public the interest in it probably won't move at all. It's the type of game that requires word of mouth and such more than anything.

The game will barely be advertised, most of the normal stores out there won't even have it in stock (Best Buy?), etc. The main thing that's going to help it is that it's getting largely positive reviews, including ones from places that didn't seem to care for the last few games... including SMT:N.

Most of the people who would have normally bought it are not going to really be phased. You can't really underestimate how many RPG players haven't even moved on to these new systems... The 360 and PS3 currently have two RPGs here (both the same: Enchanted Arms and Oblivion). And, really, how many of these people are going to cancel their pre-orders? I've only heard of one person stating such on Joystiq, but I'm wondering if he's just really annoyed and will buy it anyway lol.

As for Fes, I believe there's actually two components. One about Aigis and the other about some "mysterious boy". I only glanced at RPGFan's new review for it considering it basically spoils the entire first game lol.

That's quite a bit later than I figured.

Weren't they on EZBoard before? I'd imagine people would have to re-sign up, so it makes some sense. I don't really go to the Atlus boards, so I have no clue.

I do know that I much preferred the old site design, though.

Yeah, I skip myself. I'll have to try it with the auto advance on and see how it goes. If the speed is high enough it won't really be any worse than most games that don't wait for you at all.
193  Be Your True Mind / Find Your Voice / Re: Persona 3 Reviews on: July 24, 2007, 09:24:54 AM
The voice acting for some of the main characters is admittedly very believable, particularly because it would have been easy to find people who just sounded too old. Some of it was offputting to me at first, such as Mitsuro, but you soon get used to it and it fits their personalities... I'm still not sure about Ikutsuki. But best feature, I don't know.

I think the main oddity of the battle system discussion in the GZ review is that there's no discussion of the press turn system even existing in the game at all. That alone separates it from FF and DQ, which he brings up in the review.
194  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Doublejump books guide impressions on: July 24, 2007, 12:28:10 AM
Most normal guides are like, what, $15? If it's anything like the Nocturne guide, the extra $5 will be worthwhile.
195  Be Your True Mind / Find Your Voice / Re: Persona 3 Sees a Delay on: July 24, 2007, 12:27:20 AM
Yeah, I mean, either way we'll get the game. I'd rather the stuff it came with wasn't falling apart in my hands lol.

Also, Stack: I remember you saying something about a video for the game and how you didn't like having to manually advance the text boxes during sequences with voice acting? There's an option for the game to do that automatically.
