A friend and classmate of the protagonist, Chiaki was a very demanding person with a rich upbringing. After the conception, however, she assumed the idealogy of Yosuga, believing that only the strong can survive. After the fall of Gozu-Tennoh, his power channels to Chiaki, revitalizing the Mantra's importance in the Conception.

A reporter for an underground occult magazine. When the protagonist first encounters Hijiri, he is given one of his articles predicting the Conception. After the Vortex World is created, Hijiri does little but supply the protaganist with information. Seemingly without Reason, he obsesses over unlocking the secrets of the Terminals, and eventually realizes the powers he can obtain by bending the will of the Amala Network.

Hikawa is the chief technical officer at Cybers Communication corporation to most, but is secretly the leader of the mysterious Gaea cult. He engineered the Conception itself, in hopes of creating a world of stillness under the idealogy of Shijima.

Fredric Paul’s article touched off a discussion with some colleagues of mine, who agreed that Google abuses has become careless thanks to its “monopoly” with AdSense by (among other things) callously dropping AdSense participants for alleged click fraud without a reasonable appeals policy. A request for an explanation fell on deaf ears, and my colleague was left with the impression that Google “would have been more likely to work with me,” if it weren’t in such a strong position.
