571  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: The new Reunion system!? on: January 19, 2009, 08:04:44 PM
The first image is my Artemis before I Reunioned her. I actually got kicked from the server just before I took this screenshot, but the game glitched somehow and left the window on the title/character select screens....

The second screen is after Reunion... plus I added her zensho info for reference. She is a lv1 Ingwaz rune type now, but as you can see, her base stats do not appear to be based on Ingwaz at all. Neither does her loyalty bonus. It had always been assumed before (and I'd always assumed) the loyalty bonus was identical to the level up bonus for a rune type. But this doesn't appear to be the case. Unless her bonus changes after I restart my game (executable) or if it changed after I knocked her loyalty down and built it back up, she appears to have the same loyalty bonus as a normal Artemis.

I'm disappointed about all of this, because as you can guess, I use my Artemis for Soul Fusion, and I was expecting to see some huge bonuses from the Ingwaz rune type as it seems taylor made for Soul Fusion devils. I don't see how this decision could hurt her Soul Fusion ability, in fact after she is back at lv33 I'm sure she'll see a significant bonus, but just about 3x less than she would've seen if all of her stats reflected the Ingwaz rune type, and not just her level up bonuses.

Finally the last screen shows her Reunion status. She retained rank one for the Laguz rune (the gkwiki points out even though she still seems to retain her special Artemis growth type, she receives a rank1 Laguz as a consolation. There is no bonus from Laguz, but if I wanted to I could get a free jump to Rank 2. I'm a little disappointed I bought a small Ingwaz rune stone from the magic shop and didn't even have to use it to change her rune type.... at the least you'd think you need just one of those, but no, just so much macca per her level... which doesn't make a whole lot of sense really, as the going in level makes no diff.

I'm planning on taking regular screenshots as I build her back up to track her development, so we can get some straight answers regarding the Reunion system. I'm not sure if I'll take her to Rank 2 or not. The Ingwaz rank bonus lowers summoning cost (again how convenient for Soul Fusion) ...but for a casual player like me I'm not sure if it's worth it... to be honest if I'd know what I did going in, I probably would not have Reunioned her the one time. I do plan on shifting further and further away from the Jiboshin race alignment wise, so I might consider investing in the subsequent rank bonuses to some point (assuming they are additive)
572  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / The new Reunion system in action!? on: January 19, 2009, 07:49:34 PM
It turns out I had a good reason I think to give the Reunion system a try... I'm going to post some relevant attachments, then add some thoughts and questions to the thread later...

574  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 2 will be reprinted! on: January 19, 2009, 03:54:27 PM
I find it extremely odd a PS1 game is being reprinted in the first place! Unless there were plans to ship an IS build (they should just pay Gemini)

It's being reprinted in Japan too right? I haven't really followed this story... so forgive me for posting in the nude eek

edited: Honestly it takes balls to reprint this unless it was part of an IS/EP boxset edition.

Btw. what is your new avatar Seraphpiyo? Is that a closeup of some Beelzebub artwork, or am I way off tongue

576  Be Your True Mind / Find Your Voice / Re: Kotobukiya One Coin Figure Series photos on: January 19, 2009, 03:45:06 PM
Btw, if someone can get all these images in a single zip file and put it where I can download it, it would speed things up smokin

Please let someone else do that Seraphpiyo unless that is easy for you to do sweatdrop

BTW: I recently found out I can wget files from the website (download them directly onto the website) which is quite nice.

The albumsite:
http://photo.xuite.net/metamalak/551183

Sorry that I didn't collect all the characters sweatdrop
I would upload other figures to the album if I have enough time dazed

By the way, I was really shocked when I saw my articles in blog were displaying on the web page eek

Maybe I really should post English translation  sweatdrop

Well most of your posts have your new devil sculpture's name in English already, so that is cool... but if you do know how to make your blog's RSS feed send out different titles based on locales that would be cool as well! We will have this site's RSS send out in different languages soon if it isn't already.

If you can figure out how to do locales your headlines would change on our website depending on if it is viewed in English or Chinese (if you ever wanna help us translate the site into Chinese like Emilio is doing for Spanish please don't hesitate to volunteer -- I can also set everything up for Chinese pretty easily, so anyone who wants to could help a little at a time)

We don't mind having the different languages in our feeds, so don't worry about it unless you want to rainbow

If you'd like to help contribute you can even write new figurine pages for the website. It's just like blogging biggrin

I'll try to get these up one way or another just as soon as possible regardless smokin

Maybe you did not bring him? I honestly can't remember how it worked. I thought you were forced to fuse him?? Maybe he is not with you?

Btw... too bad this never happened frown

I still say Jack O' is a fine monosyllabic sub-mascot name.

If you go for it, you can use these scans we have so far to get an idea of the more or less ideal max resolution size and format for our galleries:

http://www.digitaldevildb.com/print/pandaemonium/es/book-1of3/works/?art=129&thumbs=9

http://www.digitaldevildb.com/tony/art/images/129.jpg

I will find some program to generate the lower resolution images. But if you save any larger ones you can upload them to out Media Library once I get around to making that work (it's a pretty ambitious project)

Since I inadvertently ended up inheriting maintenance of this website I've taken on a number of ambitious projects. You could say this website has been fertile testing grounds I guess. Once I work everything out I'll probably use the template to setup a business website or two smug

Anyway I know rapid-fire scanning can be a chore... there might be scans elsewhere, but I figure if anyone is going to be offended by hosted scans, it's gonna be the scanner that labored over them in the first place rolleyes
581  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: Atrribute points info on: January 18, 2009, 01:12:08 PM
Dunno... the usual brain dead game breaking strategy is to squeeze every point possible into one stat or another. Though that seems to have been made a less than ideal (damage dealing) strategy since the last update.

My personal theory is you probably get the most bite for your points if you stay as balanced as possible. This is logical if you assume every point is as valuable as the next (later points for each stat cost much more than the last)

Ultimately I'd just say go for whatever you feel like your character represents. But my opinions aren't super popular amongst the nerds on the JP server to say the least rainbow

It just depends on your play-style. Personally I prefer staying power mixed with weakpoint exploitation. But most players seem to super specialize (and quickly die when things get complicated / separated from the party)

Though if not for my miserable lag more often than not, staying power might be slightly lower on my totem.

I am officially certifiably insane...

Spent what could've easily been an hour tweaking out the border around this doo-hicky:

Mostly in that upper right diagonal corner (which technically isn't a border, but a ridiculous css hack)
