Well, I have something up. I had a real nightmare trying to fit all of this onto a gallery page. That part still isn't working. But if you click on the first image, you can go thru all the pages as a lightbox gallery (though I think some of the files might've been corrupted... let me know if something looks funny)

I will probably have this finished within the next 1 to 3 days (as long as my internet doesn't go on the fritz)

I'm just going to use the same images for all of the multiple resolution images on these pages. So basically the browser will be down sizing them, which is slow and probably looks ugly on most browsers. So if someone can make thumbnails (lower resolution versions) after I get everything up, that would be nice. I think we will just need midsize ones for the gallery, and thumbnail sizes for the page where you pick your volume to start with (so just the first page of the volume)

I think the tumbnails are 150x213px. I will post the gallery page size when I figure it out

I love anything first person, and it's starting to look more like Devil May Cry which is a plus in my book (character designs are still goofball though)

This game has not hit Japanese arcades yet afaik.

Castlevania still hasn't really jumped beyond the 2D side scroller format. Maybe something like Mirror's Edge would work for Castlevania?? I think this one might be on rails though, I can't quite tell.

I think Mirror's Edge style play could really work if the game applied some kind of forgiving AI interpreter to your input that adjusted jumping to what it seems like you're aiming for. That way you could have your wild arcade style platforming without infinite frustration (well more than usual at least)

I gotta make a confession... Weltorv Estleia is definitely my all time fav rpg of all time, if you know what I mean. It has everything I've always wanted in an rpg that no rpg ever has!!

My only complaint is so far it is wayyyyy toooooo easssssssyyyyyyyy. It's been a perpetual tutorial, and I'm already like lv20. I know you're supposed to play the game thru multiple times, so it could be each round becomes more difficult or something. Also it seems so far you're stuck with the first two party mates you let into your party (P1 style) ...though I'm still looking for ways to replace them. You have other party members, but they're temporary slots (per adventure) ...I'm thinking one explanation for the easiness is I let the first two adventurers you find into my party, and that probably sets you on an easy route. Because if you did not let them in (so you could let others in later) the quests would be much more difficult to do alone.

The gameplay is perfect though. I can't shake the feeling there will be a Weltorv Estleia cult somewhere in my future...

Just an idea. I might setup special forum groups for translators. Like "Moderator", and use flags instead of the star graphics. It's no big deal. Just an honorary thing, cause we really appreciate the help with translation

So far we’ve had several pledges to help with English editing. And some actual editing work from Wolfzau, who has also offered to help translate Chinese to the best of his ability. Luca (aka VMee) has also begun work on the Italian front. We haven’t heard a word since from Sergio unfortunately. So German/Portuguese is still a no go. Today in the forums a Dantess has pledged to start work on French. We have more than a few Spanish speaking parties knocking on our door, and some leads who’ve yet to really make an impact, but our fingers are crossed they won’t flake on the database.

No offense to past volunteers, but the ratio to reliable help versus one off disappearances is very high! So please before you offer your services, give some thought to what you’re getting into. Also if you’re drunk or under the influence of some mind altering substance… please wait until you’re sobered up (or at least in your usual frame of mind)
