Well, it prolly would've costed more?  I don't know.
In any case, I didn't think the voiceacting was that bad.
Especially Angel.  Her voice was awesome.

Jenna Angel sounded like an old woman in both games. I used to like Jenna Angel. Until I found out she had a
dick
. Thanks a lot, Phiremon.

Isn't it a Jamaican accent? x___O  That's what I thought it was all along.

Nah, it wasn't entirely Jamaican. As I said, it fluctuated -- it sounded really awkward... Though, I'm pretty sure it was said he was South American, if that's so, they could've gotten someone with a South American accent to do his voice? Of course, this is Atlus we're talking about... They can't even make a decent dialogue font after over 10 years of localizing games.

What kinda bothered me was why he needed the accent in the first place.
I mean, it's sorta like how his uh... previous persona is being surfaced after the awakening or whatever, but we don't see argilla gaining phony Japanese accents.

I think they should've at least gotten someone who knows how to speak whatever language his accent is supposed to be in, because then they would've faked a better accent.

I just thought the accent was annoying.

Isn't he supposed to be South American? (or South Something) His accent seemed to have fluctuated between different accents -- I swear, sometimes he sounded Jamaican.

Hehehehe.
But he was supposed to be particularly silly in that clip.
Even though he's silly anyway.

What bothers me is, why don't they just GET someone who actually HAS the accent they want, and get them to voice the character? Eh, it doesn't matter much, though, as I don't listen to the voices.

Eh, I thought Persona 2's VAs were very poorly done.  Like... Katsuya... *shudder*
I thought DDS had really good voices.  Excluding Cielo's phony accent, of course.  I actually liked them better than the Japanese ones.  I thought the Japanese ones are way too dramatic. :/  Didn't like it.
And I think Heat is the one who say "leader" in the beginning.

I think All Atlus games have horrible voice acting. I only liked Sudou's [english] voice in EP, as it was extremely over-the-top, and weird. I don't care for Japanese voices, and I found DDS to have hideous voice acting. Cielo's was definitely the worst in the game.

^ Um, Heat so is this. No matter how it is diced it's still rape.

Uh, no, it isn't. He did not have sex with her against her will, she allowed him to have sex with her. Rape is defined as "a crime wherein the victim is forced into sexual activity against his or her will" -- nothing in that article said she was raped -- in fact, it even says "Smith maintained the sex with the 47-year-old woman was consensual".

So, no, it was not rape.

This reminds me of this old thing on America's Most Wanted or some such nonsense.

It was about this Gynecologist who would have sex with women while he was examining them.

That's different, though. That's rape. This "case" can't be considered rape -- mostly just fraud.

I've always been suspcious of gynecologists, though... At least, male ones.
263  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Summoners' Club / Devil Summoner PSP Changes on: October 05, 2005, 05:11:40 PM
According to an article on 1UP, Atlus will be making some changes and including some additions to the PSP version of Devil Summoner -- it'll also include a trailer for the new Devil Summoner: Kuzunoha Raidou game...

Quote
Not content with a straight port to PSP, Sega Saturn classic and Shin Megami Tensei spin-off Devil Summoner is receiving an upgrade on PSP.

Gamers who've played the Shin Megami Tensei games on PS2 can attest to the series' high difficulty. Since Devil Summoner is known for being a tough and somewhat unbalanced game, Atlus is completely re-tooling it for the PSP audience. They're planning on going through and all of the enemy stats so it becomes "An RPG that anyone can casually enjoy."

Atlus wants to make the game "quick and fun," and as a result, the battles, load times, and confusing aspects of the game are being fixed up. "When comparing it to the Saturn version, it's almost a completely different game," the team says. "It's been reborn in a good way."

Other additions to the PSP version include the ability to save the game at any time, a new ultimate boss, a Demon Encylopedia that was originally released in Japan as a fan disc to the original game, and a trailer for the PS2 Devil Summoner game coming next year.

The Japanese version of Devil Summoner PSP is scheduled for a December 22nd release. There are rumors about a certain company that likes SMT games planning on bringing it to the US, so with some luck we'll see it stateside in 2006.

I don't know how this works, but, from what I've heard... If you send Atlus your receipt, they'll send you the OST. Might want to look into that on the Atlus Forums or something, if you didn't get the OST. Though, I could've misheard.

I hope you're not serious.

....didnt they remake FF6?

For the PS if I remember right.

...I'm just bothered by the idea of why they are putting it on the GBA.Or I guess it could be more portable for everyone... ...whatever.
If you don't like the idea... Then don't play them?

edit: Also, apparently, they'll have some new content not found in the SNES or PSX versions.
267  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Final Fantasy V-VI GBA on: October 05, 2005, 05:37:30 AM
According to a news story on GPara, Square will be porting Final Fantasy V and VI to the GBA. It also mentions Final Fantasy III for the DS, and that it'll be a polygonal remake. Honestly, I'd much rather see FFIII on the GBA rather than the DS. I'm glad they'll be porting FFV to the GBA, at least (V and IIIj were my favorites). If no one's heard, earlier, they announced bringing FFIV to the GBA, as well.
268  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Dead Rising on: October 05, 2005, 04:35:08 AM
So, I've been "watching" this game for a while -- and it sounds awesome.

Quote
There isn't much to the gameplay of Dead Rising, just get weapons and kill lots of zombies. You start off the game as Frank, a photojournalist who ran into a town infested with zombies. The level we played had spawned Frank on top of a vendor's cart in the middle of a mall. The area was circular with a tree in the center, and absolutely overflowing with zombies. Seriously there had to be over one hundred zombies shambling around in there, and they were all onscreen at once with no noticeable slowdown.

Sounds like it'll be fun, and there haven't been many real complaints from the people who've played the demo. Apparently, you'll be able to use a ton of different objects as weapons (I hope it'll have a lawnmower), which seems like that'll make it a lot more fun. The only problem I've seen so far is that there aren't that many different zombie "models" -- only like, 5 or so, from what I had seen. Though, they may change this.

Too bad it's going to be on the X-Box 360 -- probably the console I'd consider getting the least. Hopefully there'll be a port? You can see a few trailers here at GameTrailers. Surely, I'm not the only one interested in this game?

Dumb? It sounds like she's getting $4 million out of it. Dumb or not, she might wind up goddamn rich.

Persona 2 I have but I always wanted Rhapsody. I guess the game must have been pretty good if it sold out so quick. Even on eBay it's a bit pricy.
It usually has to do with rarity, not with how good it is. Rhapsody probably had an extremely limited pressing, and thus, is quite rare. I've played a bit of it, and I found it to be just "average". :\ I bet a lot of people bought Rhapsody and Persona 2 from that site just so they could auction it off... V_V; It's what I would do.
