If you really have a version of Kerberos in the forum banner I'd very much like to see it. Plus my source for the banner is really crap (an old worn out Kyuuyaku guide's back cover) ...so we could use a better scan for the forum. That might inspire me to finally replace the forum banner with something better However the general quality of the book cover print is very nice... the wear on it not so much. It's not a crap dotmatrix type print. Still at that size, any version would probably be better. The tri-headeded one is awesome. I will add yours to the wiki page eventually. It is from Soul-Hackers I'm virtually certain. Still the Kyuuyaku concept art is my favorite. If I could have an artbook quality print of any Megaten image I would choose that one. It's so rare too.

Speaking of Google, can anyone else see this webpage: http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=partner-pub-4203437078642917:z7ok7haa9p0&hl=en_USAnd can you search on it? This is supposed to to have the search index for this website, but it says the following to me: Forbidden Your client does not have permission to get URL /custom?cx=partner-pub-4203437078642917%3Az7ok7haa9p0&ie=UTF-8&q=Protagonist&sa=Search&hl=en&adkw=AELymgU7SOVVERx2k8wXzM4ekBsY7cClUIhu4-hRWuLGN9sX9NAyqVzDL27JWWnU8vNV1Dteh2sY_g72cIYy0TLMgEhNGg5gCrPb6L1kpbI7q3EJ-jo3haZniEV5Nr-XFL0WcQW5vV4AmPhUbCJBp0Qi724nmt-hWv0CyEGCTXoiqSUUnDmywNV6KFDRuqihpvGXDfjdf0rIl6z7cBmV3mp6dbXkI-HVqQ&cof=AH%3Aleft%3BALC%3A4466bb%3BBGC%3AFFFFFF%3BCX%3ADigital%2520Devil%2520Database%3BDIV%3A88A6C0%3BFORID%3A11%3BGALT%3A1B703A%3BGFNT%3A1B703A%3BGIMP%3A1B703A%3BL%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com%2Fintl%2Fen%2Fimages%2Flogos%2Fcustom_search_logo_sm.gif%3BLC%3A4466bb%3BLH%3A30%3BLP%3A1%3BT%3A000000%3BVLC%3Ac83b3a%3B&oe=UTF-8&safe=images&client=pub-4203437078642917&channel=4038169898&boostcse=0 from this server. I just noticed all of our Wordpress posts had become closed to commenting!! First off there is no way this should happen and no way to turn them all back on (well other than running a database query) I of course ran the query immediately, but now I'm very worried about the state of our database Because this just should not goddamn well happen. I'd like to get to the bottom of what might've been the cause... but I'd probably have to register with Wordpress.org and file a forum post and hope someone answered (probably infinitely higher odds than getting a reply from Google's support forums -- google can't even tell me why search results for a search engine designed to search a site cannot appear on the same site!!) Of course searching for a possible cause is useless. Just try to put wordpress, comments, closed, etc. into any search engine try to get anything remotely useful back (aint happening) I wonder in general what will happen if our search algorithms don't become AI algorithms quick, because the more words/pages there are on the internet the more impossible it becomes to get meaningful results from searches based on the appearance of words alone

I finally gave in and set up a new/state-of-the-art CAPTCHA filter. Try it... http://www.digitaldevildb.com/bbs/index.php?action=register (edited: might have to logout in order to try it) ^Speaking of which, we gotta loosen up that Agreement: You agree, through your use of this forum, that you will not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, adult material, or otherwise in violation of any International or United States Federal law. Half of this^ I would like to encourage our users to post PS: If bots are still crashing our party they most be sad people locked away in sweat shop basements trained to post spam in forums / clog up member lists

I think the best thing to do at this point with the "documentary" would be to break all the chapters up into their own files. Then we can upload all the chapters to the website, and embed them in a page where people could watch them one at a time. It would be awesome to have the anime and anything else up as well.
In general I think we should just provide everything possible on the website until Atlus/company complain about anything. No images of new games of course. In general it's actually completely legal to provide game images if the games aren't being printed for retailers anymore. But with the rise of "virtual consoles" and crap I kinda wonder if that legal precedent still holds, or if the virtual consoles are the industries way of answering that legal decision. Technically the virtual console game is a different product (mainly sold for convenience in my opinion -- I buy mostly VC type stuff myself) so maybe legally images of the original games are still totally legit to host.
Video is ok as long as it is not high quality I think. For non-retail stuff like that documentary though the quality should not matter (it might in Japan if anyone cared)

^Thanks. Seriously! But does your game have sound after it says Sega? Maybe I need a newer version of Gens like yours PS: I'm trying to track down a copy of the Windows version of Megami Ibunroku Persona. A guy I know thinks he knows where he can get one (got it before and lost it) ...but anyway I will try to get a copy of that to you for your page. Not a bad get (if we can get it) PPS: I'm going to have that filesharing subdomain up soon everyone.

That's messed up^ (edited: just an English expression) And here I was trying to play it as a CD Still, according to the Gens32 readme files playing sega-cd game this way is complicated in the sound dept. Maybe I need a newer version, but there doesn't seem to be any sound in the game. * Running a Sega-CD/Mega-CD Game from a CD image/Mp3 file: ----------------------------------------------------------
Gens also supports CD images (backups) in .iso/.bin/.raw format with .mp3 audio. It is recommended that when using CD images that you have both the CD image and the correct .mp3 files available as many games will not run if the audio tracks aren't present.
For Gens to correctly identify any .mp3 audio tracks for your CD images they have to be placed in the same directory as the CD image file with the same file name as the CD image followed by a track number. For example if you are using a CD image called Blaster.iso with three .mp3 files you would need to put all the files in the same directory and rename them like this: Blaster.iso Blaster 02.mp3 Blaster 03.mp3 Blaster 04.mp3
There are a couple of important points to remember when setting up your CD images & .mp3 files for use with Gens:
* The CD Image should NOT be numbered, it won't work if you have "Blaster 01.iso" instead of "Blaster.iso"! * The CD image acts as track one so the first audio track will always be track two+. * The track numbers must also be a TWO DIGIT number: 02, 03, ..10 etc, NOT 2, 3,...10. * The space between the file name and the track number is optional.
[+ Gens actually calculates the track order by looking at the numbers at the end of the .mp3 files. You can use any numbers you want, for example 10, 27, 32... however it's easier to rename them in the way shown above.]
Once you've set up your CD image and .mp3 files as shown you're ready to begin.
Instead of clicking on Boot CD in the File menu click on Open Rom as if you were going to load a normal Genesis/Mega-Drive game. The Open file window will appear as usual, click on the arrow on the "Files of type" box and select "Sega CD isos files (*.iso,*.bin,*.raw)" from the drop down list. Now locate your CD image file and click on the Open button to begin loading the game. Gens will now initialize Sega-CD/Mega-CD emulation and begin reading the CD image/.mp3 files. Please note it can take a while before the Sega-CD /Mega-CD bios screen appears as Gens needs to calculate the length of all the files before it can begin. ^Sounds like you gotta generate .mp3 files somehow PS: How btw did you make that exe? It's dangerous to run exe files off the internet, they can install malware/etc. on your computer. So I'd like to know how you made it so I can see if the program you used is safe or not

Heading waaaaay offtopic: Do you personally know anyone who has been able to play this file? I ended up busting my ass tonight just to get "Gens32 Surreal" to appear to work in Mega-CD mode. But the MCD bios doesn't seem to recognize it as a game disc. If I mount the cue file in the download I can play it like a music cd (kinda neat) ...but the emulator just puts the name in window title ("Sin Megami...") but otherwise the Mega-CD goes into it's music CD player mode, but doesn't seem to detect any music. Anyway, if someone made it work with an emulator (I'm not going to run out and find a MegaCD) in any way, if you can give me advice, I'd be happy to write up a README file with English instructions to include in the download.

I really don't care about the "image theft" personally. I actually wish those images didn't have the "watermarks" on them. Technically our "bloggers" have copyright to everything they do, so they might care... but Tony doesn't in that case (since he doesn't seem to care about anything) ...Digitaldevildb.com also has copyright of everything (presumably only within the site itself) I think once we have a "Media Library" system we'll just make a blanket statement about all the media being fairuse/public domain, and if not should not be on the website if anyone with copy claims has a problem with it. We will try to protect the articles from being copied about. But that will just have to be a community effort, especially up to each article's author, because I won't have time to deal with that sort of thing personally (amongst other things) It does seem silly for the ebayer to have smudged the watermark though. Personally I've thought before the site might work better as a "news aggregater", that is just copying stuff from disparate blogs (and translating them) for posterity sake. But who knows what the future might hold (probably nothing too spectacular )
