2056  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: New Skills on: October 31, 2007, 10:31:45 AM
I think in order to increase weapon knowledge, you must use one of the three skills above class1. Can anyone confirm that?

And has anyone been able to get the free Rete Bottle from the new NPC in Shinjuku passing out the new skill unlock quests? Do you have to complete one of the quests? Or do your skillpoints need to be nearly maxed out to qualify for the free bottle?
2057  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: STICKY: Playdates and trading in here! on: October 30, 2007, 12:56:44 PM
Anybody Japanese literate or learning playing? Or maybe thinking about giving it a try?
2058  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: Bonus lvUP points??? on: October 30, 2007, 06:18:47 AM
No, well yes, but you also get "bonus" points.

The last time I leveled (lv21) I received 6pts plus 2pts bonus, for a total of 8pts applicable.

I figure a sticky thread for situational needs is in order. This way the thread can eventually be deleted and reincarnated once it is too big and by its nature outdated.

Of course this is a suggestion. The administration should probably create their own and subsequently delete this thread!

It says your graphics card does not support the DirectX Pixelshader2.0 specs. Could be you need a newer driver, which in this case would have to be DX9c or DX10(Vista). I believe the game requires compatibility. So most likely you need to go out and buy a new card, which you can probably do for about 50$ or less right now for a consumer model. Imagine is pretty low tech by contemporary standards thankfully.
2061  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / What are the bonus lvUP points? on: October 27, 2007, 02:58:47 AM
When you level you get bonus points! What are the bonus points awarded for? Is there a way to effect them. This would appear a matter of extreme import, as this would effect the ultimate potential of a character!
2062  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / New Skills on: October 27, 2007, 12:13:33 AM
Can anyone add what they can about the new skills added in yesterday's update?

I would like to learn weapon knowledge (bukichishiki?), which reduces damage to equipment I believe. But I'm not positive on how to raise the skill, and it appears perhaps you must be class1 in rush, spin, or rapid, which I don't intend to learn. I hope I'm wrong however.

The relevant wiki page:

Of course, please divulge anything anyone knows about the remaining skills.
2063  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Tokyo 202X / Re: Imagine forums on: October 26, 2007, 11:41:30 PM
Adding a forum would definitely encourage discussion. There is a ton of stuff being added to Imagine lately, and much I would like to throw out there myself. Gamefaqs appears inadequate.

I don't understand why people would not be discussing Imagine, unless the new generation of enthusiasts are simply intimidated by Japanese games.

Imagine is always active/updated, if more people played it would keep the forum much more active year round. Plus people could make playdates in the forum, because the Clan system in the game is not completely airtight.

People, Go play Imagine!

The screen of loading me have asked to clean. If you played the Japanese version there in general it is not present. And the image on it, mismatches style of game.

to Emilio Morales:
Yes, there all portraits of the version are replaced with the original. Now I work over replacement sprites characters. And that, portraits are changed, but on locations former characters go :)

Thats absurd! The original wishes it had that loading screen.

Are the stats fixed btw? The stats are the only major problem with the game. Other than no SQQ and the dialogue is English.
2065  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Tokyo 202X / Re: Imagine forums on: October 25, 2007, 11:31:10 PM
Mixing Imagine with offline games seems very inappropriate to me.
2066  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Nirvana / Re: Would anyone be interested in any game data ? on: October 23, 2007, 05:49:16 AM
For the core data, that is your intellectual property breaking stuff, Japanese games tend to compile this into the executible at often random addresses and in hair raising ways. If they make the effort to break the models up into pieces throughout the executible, then there is little you can do to get at it.  If Atlus is this paranoid, which realistically they should be, then most likely the demon and character models are stored this way.

There are other ways to get at such data, but the pitfalls outnumber the incentives in almost all cases, and are way too involved to delve into.

Of course I don't want to discourage investigation. But you might have an easier time petitioning Atlus to release the data for posterity sake, eg. fat chance -- under the contemporary climate.

editted: There is a reasonable chance that you could get the models from Imagine, being a PC game targeted for hardware acceleration. If it had an opengl mode this assumption would be much safer. However you could look into apps like OpenglInterceptor and Ogle, only you would need something similar for DirectX.
2067  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona Portable! Lets do it ourselves! on: October 21, 2007, 08:28:58 PM
Plus it is illegal! But Japan is pretty lax about that. AtlusUSA however might see things differently. I have a pseudo fan game in the works myself, though it has no connection to Megaten other than if you like Megaten, you might like it. Even at that, someone said my material was being investigated by AtlusUSA, which means they might be more paranoid!

I will finish my game eventually. It is a professionally polished game, but it is extremely abstract and stripped down, so if you are not into independent styled  games you probably wouldn't appreciate it. The game system itself is superior to any Megaten game, or any RPG I think, and the game itself, besides being a fun hobby on the side for myself, is sort of a way of advertising the gameplay in the end I'm thinking.

It will be a combination of webpages and a Java applet requiring Opengl modules, but is presently on vacation from development, and I need to find a new host for its storage heavy internet prescence first.
2068  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: P3 FES: ALMOST Confirmed...? on: October 21, 2007, 08:20:52 PM
Is the P3 component of the combined disc really a "director's cut"? If so what's the diff?
2069  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Re: What's with the low post count? on: October 21, 2007, 06:11:40 AM
I thought it was, but now I'm not sure.
2070  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Re: What's with the low post count? on: October 20, 2007, 10:24:48 PM
I think right now is one of those moments every so many years, where the primary Megaten waterig hole has imploded and everyone is wondering which fansite will eventually become the new community hub.
