editted: As for a tutorial write up, my hands are tied until I walk one of my characters from Shinjuku to 3rdHome, so I can see what the process is like. So it is not so simple for me, so please try other means before holding your breath for a tutorial. If a screenshot tutorial is produced, that is someone elses matter. Of course there is no immediate imperitive to join up other than playing with your board mates who already have.

Yes, my kanji study book lists it as Shou meaning bright/crystal, though this is always interpretive -- except in the case where a kanji can have a literal meaning when used alone.

Given all of the examples of puns in Megaten, it seems like some play on "words" should be read into the choice of kanji. Also the items look like urns and nothing like a literal crystal. So the whole concept is fuzzy at best.

I wonder if this is the first game to feature 魔晶?

As for "soul urns"/魔晶! I've no idea what 晶 means. It is not 品, though it may be a sort of pun. The kanji is pronounced "Akira" sometimes I think, which is close to akirameru (to give up), but is only used in proper names I think.　I've no idea how you should pronounce 魔晶. Perhaps just like 魔品. Japanese is rife with opertunities for these sorts of puns and image play, and there are no strict pronounciation rules at the end of the day. Often more ancient words are pronounced with no connection to kanji representations.

You need to leave your previous klan first I reckon at this point. Someone offered to do a screenshot tutoriral registration via the terminal. I will again try to write up a tutorial asap as well (Of course, thanks for the going public tutorial Enid!)

After you send a "message" it may not be obvious everything is working. But just wait, and you should be added eventually without intervention. I still have not confirmed however whether submasters receive duplicates of your messages. I imagine they do, because otherwise their would be precious little purpose for submasters.

AFAIK, you, Emilio, are the only one who has expressed interest so far, who has yet to be added to the DDDB klan.

So rather than one, two "soul urns" are required via the 2-0 skill?

The wiki seems to imply certain items can be fused with two demons in the traditional sword fusion manner. I also noticed that this kind of fusion is mentioned a "special fusion" I think in the Enchantment chain expert skill page.

I figured there was no way this aspect was tied into the Enchantment skill. As I can't see how it would work into the Enchantment framework. So I made a point to try to perform a triple item fusion myself. I decided on the first Garm Collar fusion, which requires fusion with two Garms.

I've collect a Garm Collar and two Garms now, but I can't initiate anything via Jakyou in the traditional equipment fusion fashion from previous games.

What piece of the puzzle am I missing?

Drem was added via the passive terminal system. The rest of you have apparently not tried to use it or could not figure it out.

I send petitions out, but everyone appears to be offline. There is a chance your profile is not public, but most likely odds are we just miss each other.

I edit up a list of members and trying to join users in the top post. But you really all should try to send a message via the terminal in the meantime. It is quite straight forward even if you can't comprehend a word. I will try to write up a tutorial when I am able eventually.

We were able to workout the Terminal registration system. I'll write-up a propper tutorial when I can. But basically you'll need to go to the 3rdHome Terminal. And find the klan in the adverts. The klan should appear fairly obvious. It is called DDDB and has the Url of this website as its catch phrase.

You will have to cycle through the newer adverts. Using the 3rd filter could speed this up. It is the beginner filter. I'm nearly certain it is the 3rd as of tis writing.

You will need to navigate it until you find an option to send a message. This automatically leaves you immune to addition to the klan. Just send a message, and you will be added as soon as I see it!

This will work whether you are on or offline.

editted: Oh yes, I'm told, but have not confirmed, that if an update occurs all of my pending messages will be lost. So if you send a message right before an update, know that I might miss it. Oh yes, surely submasters can see these messages/add you as well!

You would want ｉｍｍｏｒａｌｆｌａｍｅ then. You should be able to copy that into the game.

I'll be on in a little while. I apologize for not fully comprehending the terminal interface yet. I suspect it won't be much help however even after I do get a steady advert up. Its a little difficult for me to handle the klan in 3rdHome really, as I tend to home point at Shinjuku.

editted: I can register you if you login tonight. I will periodically check to see if your characters are online. I apologize the game makes the process so diffiicult. Once the klan is larger, if you befriend any klan members in the game, they will be able to let you know when a master is available. Or hopefully the terminal will work out. I should be able to run some intensive expiriments tonight.

Those kind of updates are seen when you receive an e-mail from CAVE?

From wherever new insights can be gleaned and shared. Usually more details can be found on the website, and not all changes are announced.

And of course, as an primarily English and minority community. No one source of information can be trusted to be accurate and comprehensive, nor are updates generally of the scale that any single person could process and present to the wider community.

Plus the Japanese wiki is not very expediant. Details withheld from players is often not posted in the wiki until well after an event has concluded.

The only problem you might be having that I know of, is you need to make sure there are no half-width characters in your name. These are skinnier than the normal full-width characters.

If you need help telling the difference feel free to ask. Or an easier tact, my be to just post what you want your name to be, and I will post back a full width version -- of course if some player's character is already using the name, you will have to come up with something different.

editted: By the way. While you are creating your character, can you confirm if there is new starting equipment. I think there are new green varieties of previous equipment -- or so I inferred from an advert on the website. If so, I will buy some off of your new character for a generous price. Well the only item I think I'm sure about is a new green Fleece top. I will buy one of those at least for a few thousand makka. There was already some green shoes, and drab pants.

We can make an effort to inform one another of update status/affects as soon as is collectively possible within this thread.

For race translations:
Megaten Wiki

Easiest way is to just copy the kanji and do a search on the IMAGINE wiki. If you use Firefox, another way would be to use the Rikaichan plugin and highlight the race names and read the hiragana reading.

The races in IMAGINE are the exact same ones from previous games, so most of the devils are already categorized on the Megaten Wiki which should make things easier.

I know the races, I just don't always know what race a demon I see belongs to, and since the race is unobtainable it makes looking them up like trying to find a word in an unalphabetized dictionary.

Of course, in reality I guess I tend to use the Wiki's area pages to triangulate demons, but when having to find a demon at random -- for instance say you have a Memory item and you don't know what demon it belongs to -- I suppose the easiest way is  to go to the Wiki's level page and key the demon's name into a search dialog.

Of course in this case, you are posting demon names in non-romanji ascii which may or may not correspond at all to the game's articulation, so I had no convenient way to find the demons.

PS: Perhaps the Memory example was poor as you can go to the memory page, otherwise it is still a suitable scenario.

editted: Are not some other new demons in higher up races being added / were added the other day? Uriel and another black skinned humanoid demon have been featured on the website with 12/3  new demon update beside their images, and the Wiki has added various races ie, Daitenshi, Maoh, Majin, with mystery templates setup for a single demon. Perhaps these are bosses only for now, like Heket I believe.

Parvarti looks like she should be popular -- stats withstanding. I wish I could fit her into my outfit, but alas, I suspect not :(

I haven't tried. I'm still bummed about missing the sale I guess. It would probably be a good idea to have some CP in stock, in case something comes up and the buying mechanism is locked out again. But I just haven't felt like checking into it after my initial effort.

It sounds like you are experiencing the same pattern I was however. So in the meantime, I hope anyone who does successfully nab some CP with a CC will post about their experience.

Sadly, your experience just leaves me even less encouraged to bother with it at the moment :/
