Cool, I'll make sure are added asap. If you like I might help you raise your character some so you can play with us (me and friends)

I'm interested in collecting people who are into learning Japanese for a guild I plan to setup. I think I decided yesterday it will be called CASUAL外人. There is a store in the game named CASUAL, so I reckon Japanese players probably have a vague recognition of the word in English.

Funny, because there's always be an animosity/superiority against the Gamefaqs and AtlasUSA boards amongst contributers in the forums I've frequented.

Well stop teasing, and post your wiki's url already :)

So are you organizing something for dddb.com? It would probably be best if the meta structure, was everything organized by demon, with all game versions of that demon on its page. So you can really see the evolution.

It is really surprising how little everything has changed organizationally since Megaten 2.

Name wise I'd file the demon under the first name which was given to it in the series. Then have seperate cross-referencing pages based on each game's perspective.

Nothing beats the Megaten 2 sprites I think. Though Megaten 1 has its charms.

Yeah, seems I'd double entered the link when posting. So you have to register to see anything now?

Last night it looked like all threads/sections were deleted. Could've been a php timeout or something though. Now I get a 404 page!
1972  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Megaten Hell / Re: Links to Megaten Online Resources? on: December 12, 2007, 08:32:51 PM
Awesome! That would be the one :)

Yes, for a future database, it would be a good idea to backup all the sprites. I would recommend making folders for the "races" by copying the kana into the folder names, then copying each sprite and naming the file with its kana in its appropriate folder, then put it all in a archive (tar, zip, etcetera) which if you do, I would very much like a copy of :)

Now if you would excuse me, I'm going to cook up a forum avataar...

I went to http://www.popanime.net/megami/phpBB2/index.php

Intending to try to search up some old information, but it looks like there is nothing there. It says there are so many registered users and a couple active, but there are no forums as far as mine eye did see. Is this forum private now? Or was this just a momentary bug / down period I'm experiencing?
1974  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Megaten Hell / Re: Links to Megaten Online Resources? on: December 12, 2007, 03:13:08 AM
Hmmm, still not the pages I was hoping for, but I apreciate it!

What was the page with all the Famicom sprites? It had many other jrpg game sprites along with Megaten.
1975  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Megaten Hell / Links to Megaten Online Resources? on: December 11, 2007, 10:17:06 PM
I lost an operating system install and repartitioned the disk that had most of my Megaten related internet "bookmarks". I was hoping someone might remember some of them.

Tonight I was looking for a Japanese page that had sprites for the Famicom and SMT1,2, and IF games.

Any Megaten sprite pages would be awesome actually!

Yes! I think this thread would be better split from the point Tony brings up Wikiness.

So please do before the thread comes back on track again. Or does this forum have a scissor option?

=====================================

Now before I split. Should a wiki be setup, it is probably worthwhile to seek out a 2nd party wiki service provider to setup an external wiki. They might even do so for free, and would probably setup a donation/advertising system for you as well. If you have to rent space, it might not be cheaper, but it might be politically more measured for the wiki to not be a subsection of a Megaten fansite. Unfortunately Imagine's klan system seems to bring out divisiveness in people. Whether your klan is a secret society, or vanilla klan for everyone, or just can't decide what it is -- a public wiki needs to rise above it all.
1977  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: STICKY: Playdates and trading in here! on: December 11, 2007, 07:02:00 PM
I added two comments to the wiki's discussion pages. And thoughtfully answered a few questions word for word. All I asked was how can we help, and would it not be better to only have one community wiki for Imagine rather than "The Globe Wiki"? One of the wiki's contributors agreed with the basic sentiment.

One of the wiki's maintaners expressed deep dismay that someone had posted the URL of the wiki in these dddb forums. They said the wiki was strictly private and non-Globe members were not "supposed" to visit it. I simply gave them my professional advice, which was any content on the internet is public unless protected by passcodes, and Google will list any popular page that is not behind passcodes.

After the passcodes were instituted, I asked via email for the entry codes, but was denied.

I can't really comment on the state of mind of the people involved. But from what I understand the whole non-event was catapulted to the height of scandal within the klan itself. I don't think most effected people ever saw the comments, but in their place some form of propoganda appears to have been echoed throughout the klan.

It doesn't really matter, because whether the Globe klan can fire up a wiki or not, they are clearly incapable of managing a public wiki.

Speaking of which, is everyone still excited about an Imagine Wiki?
1978  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: Accessing the Makai Shubya Quartz dungeon on: December 10, 2007, 10:02:13 PM
You need to collect 10 petrafied magnetite outside the dungeon and around Shibuya. You can buy 10 in the bazaar for aproximately 4000 Makka, but unless your stats are high enough to enter the special rooms you are probably better off hunting.

It is a fairly easy dungeon, for little makka, lots of mag and exp. But I recommend you be able to best Celu Tower Bronze before attempting Quartz. Quartz is great for quickly leveling low level players (editted: accompanied by higher level players) however, as it is relatively safe, and the default boss is fairly tame and predictible.

editted: If you are looking for an enjoyable challenge however, Quartz can be very lame for the most part.
1979  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / The new Melon items? on: December 10, 2007, 09:57:43 PM
Does anyone fully comprehend any of the effects of these items?

If I use the most common variety, will it raise my nakama's loyalty? And if so, to what extent?
1980  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: Sword/Item fusion? on: December 10, 2007, 03:37:44 AM
The first Devil Summoner?

I had the special edition one, but the the Saturn I picked up couldn't save games :(

The Compendium disc was cool though.
