Yeah once you play a megaten usually most other J-rpgs seem a bit "kiddy" to say the least. lol. I still haven't given up completely on square/enix, they "do" still crank out good rpgs however my excitement factor over the new final fantasy games is near non existent.

There is an in depth story but I find that people are less willing to read long winded descriptions online then they are from a book. I think the monitor ends up hurting people's eyes. lol. My flickr account has detailed info of each character with their pictures but I found posting links here requires more then a simple "copy paste".

Don't know about the DDS art but I colored another character. Another collab between me and my friend. He did the concept and I did her design.

If Yuko is a separate character from Yukari I'm stumped. I know you could pursue the pretty gymnast girl that hung out with Kaz on the track team and the student counsel girl that was shy but I only went after the "main love interest". Chances are the gym girl is impressed with courage and I think the shy girl in student counsel requires a mix of charm and academics.

Your charm needs to be high or maxed before you can be with Yukari. I didn't find it hard for me because charm seemed to be easier to raise than the other stats such as academics and courage. You can get charm by answering questions correctly and there is a tea place in the Paulowna mall that awards charm every time you go there. (You can also raise your courage there by doing Karaoke in the other place.) If you already  have your academics pretty high you can try  developing your relationship with Mitsuru first.

If you are going through the "hard hit" in the relationship that's already started it means Yukari is a bit miffed you either started to get close to another girl or she was upset you defended her from bullies.(She'll confess she's grateful for the help later but in the meantime she thinks having you rush in to rescue her made her lose face.) All this takes is being persistent  and continuing to talk to her until she finally agrees. I will say this. Treat your ladies with kindness and respect and don't try pimping them all at once. It doesn't work like a cheap badly done hentai dating game. All the characters have genuine feelings.

Don't worry Emilio. I'll have more stuff for the art thread soon. Just thought I'd post a personal Persona related drawing here. Normally I'm a bit weary of showing stuff before it is finished though. I think online most art lovers expect stuff in color or 100% shaded so it is not still in the rough stages.

In my game idea "Shiva"  is my characters main alter ego. He's a hindu god and has control over both death and creation. However I redesigned shiva to look more like a "custom persona" then his typical appearance in mythology. However my character has to go through several lesser manifestations before he can get Shiva. The supporting characters have less Personas but they tend  to be more powerful or equal in power to the protagonist's varied psyches.

Damn. Well, I was hoping at any rate. Thanks!

112 signatures not bad. I'm 112. Hopefully it'll go to the right people. I would buy Festival. I know it isn't  100+ hours of additional content or anything too miraculous but I believe their are more costumes + a new character that is like Aegis, another whole plot with Chidori, more personas, and if  I'm not mistaken Fuka becomes a playable character.

I have a  question...are the special sexier costumes for the females only in Fes? I went  through the whole game but never equipped any items that changed the clothes of the female characters. It's not a big deal to me  I'd just like to know if standard P3 has alternate uniforms.
11  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: Persona 3 music videos on: September 27, 2007, 03:11:57 PM
Weird. I gave it 5 stars but they're not lit up. Regardless  the song was fitting  and you spliced  everything together perfectly so there were no awkward moments in which the sound track and images were out of sync.
12  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 Fes in UK on: September 26, 2007, 12:12:33 PM
Well if it is the "only way" UK can get FES I'm not uptight about them pirating it. After all they should get an equal chance to  experience a good rpg as everyone else. Of course I'm hoping that such a drastic measure will not be necessary and KOEI will come through.

Like  I said Piracy is a gray area. It can be  good then again it can be bad and ones intentions and their situation is what defines it as justified or not.

My friend recently had to pirate a game simply because they do not release it anymore and it is impossible to find in stores . He is a very honest person and would gladly  shell out cash for it but that's impossible when  said  product is no longer being manufactured.

I suppose in a way piracy is relevant to the topic but I still see it as a last resort. Give KOEI a  chance to release it but then if they fail, rip it.

Sadly I don't think the recent DDS games came with an art book but Tony did put up a lot of stuff from the demon compendium in the DDS data-base of creature designs + their respective mythological descriptions Luppi. As far as custom fan-art goes Lycanthroat was working on a kick ass creature design that looked  like the demon form of an avatar tuner + The DDS data-base does have some very good fan art of Persona,Nocturne, and Digital Devil characters.

Btw thanks Emilio! I've drawn alot of designs but coloring them all is going to take awhile. Even whipped up some custom Persona designs which you'll see in the future.

Some character designs I'm working on for an rpg idea. If they look like Persona influenced characters it's because P3 did in fact inspire some ideas when concept art was drawn. My friend also had a role to play with a few characters he came up with during our table-top rpg  sessions.

Piracy is a tool, it doesn't make a person greedy or selfish. That is up to the calibur of people.  Even if such a scenario was a technical and unescapible reality, which it could realistically be someday. Atlus would require benifactors to donate to their studios to keep the games coming. Which is actually the way art has been done for the glut of the existence of the human race. When you consciously choose to purchase a game, you are in essence making a donation to Atlus. You can't regulate morality. When a government tries to it only makes people bitter and more likely to take acts like piracy for granted. This has been the case ever since consumer tape recorders hit the scene for example. Industry shit itself over those too, but their profits only soared. Piracy is basically exposure. If the product is good, the people will embrace it. If it is not, piracy is a way of miitigating the false introduction of shotty commodities into the market place.

It is true with console games you can generally rent first. Consider theatrical releases though for example. Reviewers are great, but what if you are a sort of person with completely other values than reviewers.

Piracy also forces the industry business model to catch up with evolving technology. That is the problem the music industry is facing right now. People pirate music, not to be thrifty, but because it is so infinitely more convenient. The industry has to find new delivery mechanisms for music. They are trying, but the price they are asking is still at least three times too much, and the restrictions are absurd, so that industry will continue to grapple with piracy until it catches up with the realities of the 21st century.

Btw, these lengthy ideological posts are largely rhetorical. I enjoy the chance to think through these ethical dilemmas and am  happy to share as long as the question is posed. But please don't mistake observation for an invitation to spar over personal belief systems.

And just for the record, large questioonable institutions like Disney would be the most likely to faulter under the pressures of long term piracy, and are most likely where the heavy handed resistance to piracy originates.

I do think this topic is quite relevant to the thread btw, but I encourage anyone to not persue a personal stake in it.

For the record...I also made the below statement.

When it is right? Maybe if you plan to buy the original product when you can and are broke now it is acceptable or it is the "only way" you can get certain things in your country. I don't think entertainment should be for just a select few but at the same time to do it just for bragging rights or as a status symbol is juvenile and stupid.

Lastly this discussion has nothing to do with the topic which is the UK possibly getting  Persona 3 or the Festival variant. By most rules in a forum people should keep post related to what is being discussed. Piracy has nothing to do with an annoucement that P3 might be coming to the Unitied Kingdom through KOEI.

Personally I'm damn happy with P3 even without the extra content. I'm curious about the new stuff but not so much I feel devastated I did not receive it.
