46  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: DS or PSP on: August 08, 2007, 11:26:15 AM
How are psp games better geared for roadplay than ds? I'm surprised the psp is even considered a "portable" handheld. The thing has a miserable battery life and even in sleep mode quickly consumes energy. Also most psp games are nearly console games, usually ports, which require a good amount of sitdown time to adequately play. This is mostly a complement to the system, but I consider most ds titles more apt for quick fixes. (That is except for the point and click titles, or adventure games.) I own both a psp and ds. Currently I play my ds far more than my psp. I'll agree that most upcoming psp titles look fantastic, and there are numerous ds titles you forgot to mention. (It's A Wonderful World, Contra IV, FFCC:Rings of Fate, Front Mission, Phantom Hourglass, Ninja Gaiden, on and on and on.) So as it stands ds edges psp out, for me anyway, as the best handheld on the market, right now.

I also completly agree that both Megaman ZX and New Super Mario Bros blew.

Cool little story about when I first started playing. I was wandering in the forest area around Shinjuku, I was lost and didn't even understand the map,  when a Japanese player approached me. She started chatting with me and I told her I couldn't read Japanese. She responded with a smilie and brought up the trade window. (Though at the time I was unclear what the window was.) Out of nowhere in the window pops up 10,000 macca. I typed in question marks. She responded with a kanji button. I was confused and she responded in english "push". I realized she meant the exchange button. Afterwards she bowed and walked away only to stop and motion to me. I followed her and she led me to shinjuku. Another smilie from her popped up and she typed "Shinjuku", she bowed and I bowed three or four times before she headed off into the forest. Seconds afterwards I called up a few friends to tell them about that awesome experience.

Pm me anytime Emilio if you want to meet in the game.

I think the voicework is above average. Not fantastic but much better than some other rpgs I've listened too. (Valkyrie Profile=most character's voices sucked= Thousand Arms, the combat wasn't the only element that failed in this game= Grandia which had good voicework but bad pauses between lines, and numerous other titles.) Growing up through years of bad voice acting has made me appreciate anything that doesn't torture my ears.

Within the hospital, or whatever it is, the second page of the items has an item which appears to be a red ring. Kinda resembles a strawberry lifesaver mmmmmm. Anyhoo it should cost 20 bucks. Double-click the item once in your inventory then click your downed demon. A good strategy for early combat is to follow a pattern. Attack three times, begin counter, once you counter begin to block, then attack three times, repeat till your a god. Some enemies after provocation may appear to back off. Instead of attacking, begin to guard and approach them. Usually they will begin to attack.

Don't you need to buy another tablet?

So the one I used to enter remains in my inventory even after my death?
When I died and returned to the pedestal I still had a bronze in my inventory.

My mistake on the Paypal. When I was on the Imagine site I assumed paypal was included after seeing all the other payment options. Time for me to register for a web money account. Hopefully international transactions are accepted.

I decided to tackle the first dungeon today... and died. Standing back in front of the pedestal tried to reenter and received a message. Confused I clicked again, and again, and again. Which leads me to the question: After my miserable death how do I enter the dungeon once more?

Oh and on the CP thing Emilio. CP can be purchased through credit card, webmoney, paypal, ect.

Does anyone know the cp to real dollars exchange rate? I'm thinking about breaking down and gaining a webmoney account to earn some cp. I mean who doesn't want to pay real money for a digital snow flurry to constantly falling around their character.... anyone? hello~

HI! I've been a long time fan of this site and the wonderful Megaten games it covers for a while. So I decided to join the Megaten forum fray. Similar to Yamiblade above me my favorite of the series is Persona 2, with Nocturne being an incredibly close second.

I'm new here and I'd like to say hello everyone. Hello! Now on to discussing those 42 minutes of bliss. Man that game sports some sexy presentation and style. Everything from the main menu, to the text boxes, to the graphics are so polished. The plot also seemed to set up nicely a more than likely epic plot. But, on to what I really wanted to ask. Coverage of the game thus far has given me the impression that Tartaros can be explored at your leisure; similar to the school activities. Is this true, or when the Dark Hour approaches, do you need to complete floors of the dungeon to allow the next school day to arrive?

Unable to answer the first of your questions, but on the second question. Yep, 360's don't feature region locks so you can play those few good Japanese xbox games. (Idolm@ster) Blue Dragon recieved an awesome famitsu score and media coverage has been positive. Definite purchase for me!
