The music at first reminded me of Malice Mizer.

Just five more days...

I wince when I remember playing The Bouncer. I also just remembered Dirge Of Cerberus. Man the more I think about SE's track record with action games the more I worry.

Oh please, please, please be good. It would be amazing to see a game in Dynasty Warrior's vain and not suck. I'm sure the massive staff at SE wouldn't ruin one of their first attempts at a non-rpg title. Right, right?

I didn't need to place one of my demons to buy from those cute jack frosts. So you should be able to purchase from them.

The squares act as personal shops created by the players for other players to buy from. It's a great way to snag those cp items we can't purchase.

I appreciate the translation so much! Now I finally understand what those candles are for.

I couldn't bum a ride off someone else's airship?

Most characters in XII were unneeded. Did Vaan, Penelo, Balthier, or Freya need to be in the plot. Not really. The entire story is mostly about Ashe and her journey. All the others just tag along. I actually enjoyed how the characters weren't the center of the universe. When Cloud and co., or nearly every rpg character, enters a town almost everyone notices. Twelve was different because the plot focused on a global scale.

Vossler was cool if only because of his sword. When you had to cross the Sandsea with him to reach Raithwall's Tomb. I became completely lost at one point in the trip. Slowly my characters dropped one by one, and was left with merely Vossler and *shudder* Penelo.  I finally found my way, but not before being cornered by those respawning Tuskan raiders. Penelo was put to sleep and just before I died, Vossler cleaved them apart and I escaped. Vossler was good in my book from there on out.

At this rate we should all write bios about ourselves. :) Which should of course include a 3rd person perspective.

Roaming across the lands is a man of incredible tennis and gaming skill. He goes by the name Alexander, except when online or playing against his opponents. Where he is simply known as CountDofChinatown, named after his favorite manga character in the series Petshop of Horrors. He attends college in hopes of one day becoming a translator of Japanese. The school also serves as his place of employment, as "The Librarian".  This hopeful spirit wishes to one day live and work in the bustling metropolis of Tokyo.

I'm done...

^^ Awesome post. Agreed on all points. You wrote how some reviewers complained of how Japanese Persona 3 is. Off the top of my head I remember egm, and gamespot making this complaint. I was surprised the reviewers felt the need to note the presence of the Japanese culture in the title. Considering it's location is, y'know, JAPAN! I had no idea a geographic location and it's people, played such an important role in the consumer's purchase. Any gamer who reads the back of the box, or even glances at the anime front cover, will know this. I guess it just bothers some people.

"The games are more original"

This is true, only because developers seem to be a bit more daring with ds titles. If psp received more support, games like Loco Rocco could become very common. It has the technical power to create numerous innovative physics games. Which seems to be the path developers choose if new gameplay options aren't available. The developer's pendulum swings towards whichever platform has the largest user base.

Things like Burnout and Wipeout put a smile on my face. Things like Hot Shots turn me into a Cheshire cat.

To this day I'll occasionally pull out my saturn to play the original wipeout. The month Hot Shots Golf hits the US, is the month I buy a PS3.

Munnies, ahhh KHII+ how I wish to own thee. It's everything Kingdom Hearts 2 should have been.
Man I'm not sure if I want to rebeat FFXII again. The first time through took forever to 100%. Plus they haven't really added much of anything.
Minegawa: Look we split the license board into twelve separate boards!
Press: Do we gain any new licenses?
Minegawa: Err... No. But, Guest characters can be controlled!
Press: Does that mean they can be unlocked and kept in the party?
Minegawa: *cough* Also no, but characters now run faster.
Press:*nervous shuffles, and crickets*

Ah, I reside in the opposite camp. Not much of a fan of sports games or racing, except for Burnout or Hot Shots "Anything".

YARRGH! I'm still unable to enter the dungeon again. *Sigh* I tried my best to translate, but I'm too green in reading kana to get a clear message. Guess it serves to motivate me further in my studies.
