Recently I decided to forfeit some money to circuit city for a new rig. Everything is fantastic, except the Japanese character in Imagine are not working. Venturing into control panel I did my best to set everything to Japanese, and almost everything is displayed correctly, but the game itself does not show the characters correctly. Even the Imagine launcher displays most of the Kanji, hiragana, katakana, ect. correctly. Have any of you here have this same problem occur? Have I forgotten to click some box in control panel? I can survive without it no prob, but I do miss the pretty text.

Supposedly the next version of Dungeons and Dragons will include a pc counterpart. I'm not sure how extensive the system will be, but it certainly opens the possibilites for you to mod the pc software to your needs. It would be pretty cool if there was a D20 Tensei that could be played online. Similar to Imagine I suppose, but a better story. Of course I am not sure how good the Imagine storyline is because I can't read Japanese.

I still play the pen and paper games with my pals, but they're so boring. Some advice I would give when creating a tabletop game, more specifically a Tensei one, would be to build the game around the worlds twisted themes. I'm the DM amongst my friends, but I've never really been with the rules and regulations. So my campaigns are usually pretty story heavy, and the Tensei games have quite a bit of good material to work from. Since you didn't want to worry about the magic system to much, a focus on narrative could be your best bet.

I'm not bashing Vaan per se. The only problem is that he is birthed from a mold tirelessly reused. Nothing was particularly wrong with him. In fact he was a great character in his own right, but I do think Ashe would have been a fantastic, and better main character. She wasn't a princess in distress whom needs rescue and her back story is filled with awesome story material. Vaan on the other hand was a very happy, optimistic character without a shade of grief. Ashe seemed more dynamic to me.
Oh and what was this topic about again. :P

I think the tragedies Ashe suffered would have made for a fantastic narrative. At least it's vastly more interesting than Vaan's pirate ambition. His "I want to be an adventure" motto is so typical of heroes. Ashe's kingdom fell and her husband died, which served as a surprisingly dark intro to a final fantasy. Great storyline anyways, but I think Ashe would have been a better choice as the main character. It would have been the first Final Fantasy with a strong female lead. (FFX2 did have a female cast, but they were pretty silly to me.)

Ahhhh, okay. The demon thankfully doesn't have to be one of your own. The game creates a frost jack for all shops. There shouldn't be a cost to post your goods. The only element of the shop that has me curious is money collection. Once my stuffs bought how do I collect? Guess I'll have to find out.
