1  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Remake of Persona 1 for PSP on: March 01, 2009, 04:48:52 PM
Some more information about it: http://www.siliconera.com/2009/02/24/atlus-relaunching-persona-on-psp-this-fall/

It's arriving domestically this fall, and I'm pretty excited. Though I feel a bit silly as I just recently bought the PS1 version for a hefty sum.

I'd be glad even if it was a port. I'd be even happier if it was brought over here with a new translation. Though I'm not going to get my hopes up.

The patch is really great, Gemini did an awesome job. On another note, I've clocked in about 5 hours playing IS on my PSP without a single glitch. I hope this keeps up with the rest of the game.

Well, the release of the english patch was originally planned for October 15th. But, with the increase of idiots who flame each other on the blog site and their total lack of the ability to actually discuss something peacefully, it has been delayed. No release date is planned for now.

Ah, It was Doug from the old Nickelodeon cartoon.

You know Stan, your icon reminds me of a show I used to watch when I was a kid. Albeit an angrier version of the character in the show, it still reminds me of it. I can't remember the name though..

Anyway, welcome.

Aside from a clear favorite, I'm hard pressed to actually rank franchises I enjoy. To save you from lists of "Oh and that one too" I just won't list them. :p

I could help mod. Though, I have no prior experience in it. But if you do put me up as moderator I'll do my best, and come around as often as I can;).

Don't think I've ever heard of a un-modded Playstation playing a burned game.

Yeah, that's the part where I pretty much talked out of my ass. I didn't know if burned games actually played on the PS1 or there was something similar to a region lock. Ah well, it still stands that if you don't have a modded PS1, you'll be playing it on an emulator or PSP.

Yeah, I was talking about unmodded American systems. If you have a modded one, you're good to go. I don't so it's emulation or my PSP for me :/.

Awesome, glad I could help.

Oh, it's actually pretty easy. I'll just quickly explain it: Download a software called IsoBuster for free and install it on to your computer. Take your copy of IS and put it into your CD drive. Launce IsoBuster and you'll see a "+" sign next to an icon that says "CD," that would be your CD for IS. Right click the icon that says "CD" and click "Extract CD <Image>" once the side menu pops up click "Raw ( .bin*, .iso*)." Save that to where ever you want it, that's the image of IS you'll use for the patch. Now, the patch that is going to be released for IS will come with a software that automatically applies the patch to the .iso file you have on your computer. Follow the instructions that comes with the patch, apply it and you're set. You can either play it on an emulator on your computer, burn it to a CD and play it on your modded PSX or put it onto your PSP and play it there. If you do decide to burn it, then you will have to play it on a modded PSX only. Sadly, American systems still read it as a Japanese CD and it will be region locked.

Here's the main blog site for the patch in progress: http://tsumi.wordpress.com/

I feel that that was a bad explanation but I hope it still helps.

What do you mean? As in you don't have enough time to play it or you don't actually know how apply the patch?
