And seriously - are there any connections with past Persona games storywise? For example - is Igor refering to heroes of past Persona games when he says to silent protagonist on his first visit in Velvet Room about not seeing guests for a long time?

I can't believe this - I've just came from a vacation, certain that a package with P3 is waiting for me and what I see... A 3 weeks delay? No, this can't be true... Now I will not only suffer while waiting but also won't be able to play the game for too long because of a new school year.

I know what you're saying but I just don't agree with you - Kaneko didn't have anything to do with designing the characters for P3.

He didn't design the characters in P3 and it shows.

Fighting him is one thing but actually finding him without faqs... O_o Honestly, I've been searching for secret bosses everywhere in the first cycle, getting my party on 99 lv with almost every mantra mastered and that's why I didn't bother with the second one! You can imagine how shocked I was when some random guy from my school told me that he read about Hito in DDS 1. o_O

I just hate this kind of mentality in game designing - "Hey, let us make the greatest boss almost impossible to find, it's gonna' be awsome!" X_x

No, they weren't - I'm sure it's Digital Devil Monogatari: Megami Tensei, the very first Megaten game that was based on three novels by Aya Nishitani, that you had in mind ("monogatari" can be translated as story or saga).

I love Suikos! Not as much as SMTs but much more than all that crap from SE counted together, lol.

I had to point this out because the localization of internet lingo and most of Persona is spot on. Persona 3 goes so far to include elements from dating sim games. You can take out girls like Yuko, the manager of the track team and Chihiro, the shy class treasurer. If you max out your stats you can even date fellow Persona users.
