My brother already went out and bought a 360 but I don't really like any of the games for it. Oblivion is pretty nice, but I much prefer the simplicity of your standard turn-based, and I can't say I dig the whole "Lord of the (Bo)Rings"-style they went with it.
For me there's a nostalgia factor there associated with Toriyama's art and everything I've seen so far makes it seem like it's like a lost chapter to the original Dragon Ball. As for the characters being "uninspired..." Some could say the same about the characters in the new Persona 3 game... But I won't. Far be it from me to harsh everyone's buzz.

For a Fool card, must the demon be interested and happy at the same time?
Oh, I was talking about Revelations: Persona. If I recall correctly it supposedly happened by way of a random fusion accident that only occurs 1/75 chances or something like that. I started to think that maybe they even removed them from the English version like the Snow Queen Quest since, for me at least, it was just impossible to get one.

Play Asia's copies aren't compatible with US hardware, so says their website. Unfortunate too since the import price is soooooo low right now.
I freaking love everything that Akira Toriyama does with the one exception being DBZ. Dragon Quest VIII wasn't that great either but I played all the way through nonetheless. I guess I'm just a sucker for his sense of aesthetics.

Well, if you're going to play a game in Japanese a cursory knowledge of basic katakana and hiragana is probably necessary. A few kanji couldn't hurt either, if only to be able to navigate through menu screens. I never played the original Devil Summoner, but Soul Hackers is kind of a slog fest. It's a difficult game anyway but I'd imagine that not knowing any Japanese in a mostly text-based game wouldn't really be that fun to play.

Yeah, wow. That does look like crap. Most SMT franchise-related manga I've found is usually pretty bad. I actually was translating scans for somebody once, although I'm not sure if it was this one or not. Looks about the same hyper-angular style though.
And where the hell are those angel's panties? Put that shit away, girl!

Well, the box says: "Shin - Megami Tensei Devil Summoner Digital Collection." Beyond that I couldn't really say. Maybe it's Devil Summoner and Soul Hackers boxed together for PC or, like Tony says, it could function as some kind of PC Akuma Zenshou. Blow up the bottom middle of the image and see if you can't make out the superscript under {DIGITAL COLLECTION SERIES}. That's probably your best bet.
EDIT: Just realized there's a link under that image. If I remember I'll poke around the auction site when I'm on a computer that recognizes Japanese type-faces.

Got to the top of the temple a couple of times. The trick is to jump from side to side since for some reason that uses less stamina but you still gain distance vertically. Personally I think it's more fun to walk across the bridge and check out the scenery (plus you can check out the impossibly small gap that your huge horse was supposed to have fit through) than dick around in the temple. There really isn't a whole lot to explore aside from a huge hole in the floor. I think one of the prizes in easy mode time trials maps out the locations of all the lizards so I didn't have much trouble tracking them down. I think I could only get eight time trials in hard mode. That stupid geyser one I could never get so I just gave up. I only grabbed onto a hawk once because I read you can do that somewhere and its fun to ride standing up on your horse. I rode a fair distance across the plains but it seemed to fly in the same pattern over and over so I jumped off.
