Well some gonzo sickos  out there believe to be exciting they have to offer more and more levels of depraved unusual porn. Personally I  don't know a single person desperate enough to "pay" to see girls on cam, adult movies, or for toon smut. Online one can get a lot of that "free" if they want to.

Eventually you get to fuse up to 5 Persona cards.  Since Orpheus is a "main story persona" I believe he evolves twice on his  own but I could be wrong. Thanatos and Messiah are heightened forms of Orpheus. You see  Thanatos even in the battle cut scene near the beginning when you help out Yukari.

It seems like "main character personas" level up due to story line so I am unsure whether leveling Orpheus helps him evolve quicker or not. However everyone elses  Personas "automatically changed" as time passed.

It depends. For me I "do" try leveling everyone by switching them out at Tartarus or choosing days  in which I use only one set of characters then another time in which I focus leveling whole different people. The first few shadows are easy but the last two can be a bitch if you are unprepared. Also Tartarus gets hard when you begin climbing  the upper floors. The enemies get brutal, however the rewards are greater.

Since each characters Persona focuses on  different elements of course it'll make a battle easier if you choose them in missions in which certain shadows are weak towards certain  spells.

I never saw a case of a story battle occurring without the main character or forcing one hero/heroine to go at a  fight alone however I have not beat the game yet.

Lastly keep in mind every supporting characters Persona "will" evolve  at  some point. I pieced that together not only by playing the game but also by looking at the art-book. Fortunately the element properties  of the higher personas do not change on you  and they are much better overall with more unlockable skills.

Wtf?! Bots in a MegaTen site? They must be getting desperate. No one is going to pay to see basic human anatomy or for what they can "experience"  after an ordinary date goes well. Die bot communists! axeman
80  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: So any anime watcher ? on: August 21, 2007, 02:35:52 PM
I just wish  anime would encourage more people to be original. Instead it makes legions of fans that draw their favorite characters over and over. I know fan art has it's place but whenever I  do fan art (a rare occurrence) I feel guilty I'm riding on the coat tails of the actual creator to boost my own popularity.

Even lovers of anime art push  illustrators to do nothing but fan service. If I draw teen titan or FF7 hentai "Bam!" instant curiosity! If I do fan art of obscure less well known characters or completely original characters I get no views at all.

Anime "fan boyism" and "fan girlism" can sour my love of the genre at times.

Ken's voice is the same woman that does "Oral" in the Moral Oral Christianity spoof.(either that or they  sound ALOT alike.) What is odder still Ken looks like Oral. lol. I found  that funny but still warmed up to Ken as a character. He does after all sound and act like someone his age. Shinjiro's voice actor  sounds hauntingly similar to Alucard from castlevania sotn. Not sure if it is the same guy but it could be. I had no problems with Fuuka's voice or anyone elses. They fit  the roles. Pharos was creepy but he is supposed to be.

The guy that propositions to make you "famous" was funny. The way he talked so vaguely it could have been as simple as having your face on a cereal box or being in a hardcore XXX porno. He says he'll "contact  you" once your fortune has been secured. I think personally he was just a shyster that took my money. lol. (I'm not sure really "if" his intentions are genuine. You can decide to go along  with what he is saying or not.)

Next there is "Maya"  who you talk online in the mmorpg. I swear Atlus did research on how people act online because she reminds me of about 80% of those I've encountered in real chat rooms. Her net speak is hilarious as well as when she tells you she's drunk. She seems nice, just a bit spastic and not together upstairs.

The NPCs really were well done.
83  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Re: Favorite Megami Tensei Game on: August 21, 2007, 02:04:17 PM
I was "introduced" to the series through Revelations Persona. While it was glitchy I liked the unique setting and change from fantasy to modern day.

Next up I got Digital Devil 1 and 2. I immediately loved the story direction and characters though it came off as a very linear level grinding experience. While it blew away final fantasy 10 I still put Shadow-hearts covenant on top as my favorite rpg of that 2 year  arch.

Fast forward to now and I have  Persona 3. Atlus has blown my mind. Rather then give me a linear dungeon crawl they put destiny in my hands and gave me many variables on how the story progresses + NPCS I actually care about. Hands down  it is not only the best MegaTen game for me but also the best RPG on my PS-2.
84  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 Slow start? A bit worried. on: August 20, 2007, 04:41:54 PM
I didn't encounter anything "negative" either which makes me feel a little better. Right now a lot of  people show interest though they have hardships finding a copy of P3. I'm so glad I pre-ordered!

I also think P3 has a lot of appeal that can extend far past a small cult following. The characters are very likable and the game deals with real life issues that effect everyone.  It's not the usual "abstract" and "strange" dystopia atmosphere that put people off to the other megaten games. There's a "darker" vibe but it is  pleasantly off-set by the upbeat music and emphasis on social interaction. For once there are NPCs in an rpg I give a  damn about just as much as the main characters. king

I've faded out a bit. I was first introduced to anime through Akira,Ninja scroll, Robotech, and the Guyver series. I  was big into it in those days of my youth because it was fresh and new to me. Then I moved on to Trigun,Full Metal alchemist,Samurai Champloo, Cow boy bebop, Wolf reighn, Bleach, Hell-sing and Inuyasha. I loved all those shows but as anime began flooding us with more and more stuff I became a bit disenchanted with it. Princess Mononoke, Ki Ki's delivery  service, and Grave of the fireflies restored my faith in the genre a bit but not enough  to be a hard core otaku.

Now I like creating my  own characters and stories that are somewhat "inspired" by anime but also my real life. I admire "fan artists" but I can only get into being an illustrator if I'm working with my own original material.
86  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Re: How old are you? on: August 20, 2007, 03:41:11 PM
Too bad I missed the 60's. I would have wanted to see Jimmy Hendrix do the national anthem with his electric guitar at Wood-stock. The Beatles and The Who were pretty fab too.

I saw Spartacus but it's been many years. lol. Thanks for the Nostalgia!
87  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Persona 3 Undubbed on: August 20, 2007, 03:35:56 PM
The  dubbing in P3 is top notch. I don't say that about just any dubbed game either. The voices for the characters are perfect in my opinion. I can understand dubbing bias in some cases but not when it relates to Persona 3. I wouldn't Fret Jack-frostFTW. You're gonna love it!
88  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: So who has there copy of P3 on: August 20, 2007, 03:29:51 PM
I hope the same Neao. If people let this game slip by their radar something is not right upstairs. I've been a bit discouraged because right not their are so very few "reader reviews" or "reader opinions" on the game from mainstream forums and sites. Most I see is  comments such as "man, I wish I had P3", "P3? what's it like?", "The game store only had 3 copies.", or "I can't find P3 anywhere!". Methinks once again the mainstream made a stupid move in underplaying such an innovative title .

Honestly Persona 3 is one of the few MegaTen games  that could appeal to a large group as  opposed to just a small dedicated cult following.

Lastly I'm glad you can make your own choices in P3. As much as  I enjoyed Digital Devil  saga it was very linear and more often or not a level grinding rpg that emphasized battles much more then socializing and exploring.
89  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Re: Things that made me laugh... on: August 20, 2007, 03:20:52 PM
I have to  agree the island vacation was hilarious! Not only that but it is how "real guys" act when left to their own devices awhile. I think the comedy in the game comes off as natural. Nothing seems "forced" as it was in Shadow hearts Covenant. What's bad is some of the stupid or irrational things the characters do or say reflects how I was in HS.
90  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Velvet Room / Persona 3 Slow start? A bit worried. on: August 20, 2007, 03:01:32 PM
I've been looking online for more "gamer opinions" on P3 but hardly can find any. At IGN there are only 2 reader reviews(one by me) and despite general acceptance by the critics the game seems to be having a slow  start in popularity. This saddens me. I hate to  sound like a  fan boy but P3 is the absolute best rpg I've played in many years. Last couple of nights I played it from 9:00 in the evening to 8:00 in the morning. If the gaming populace passes this by and Atlus suffers financial difficulties because of the general ignorance of consumers and vendors world wide I'll lose alot of faith.

Regardless if someone has seen other "positive" posts or reviews from other people that have P3 let me know here! azn
