I received Chibi Robo for the GameCube in the mail from GameFly last night. I put a couple of hours into it, since I wound up being home by myself.
The game has some issues (the voices get incredibly grating; the text scrolls too slowly and cannot be sped up), but it's incredibly charming. It starts off somewhat slowly, but as you meet new characters, find new items and gain new abilities it really picks up. I don't think it will be for every one, but it's definitely worth a try.

I've put some more time into this one and made it to
the Sun to deal with God first hand.
The cut scenes leading up to this were especially well done, I felt. I've not played a RPG in quite a while where I even cared about the lesser characters, not to mention the major ones. A lot of twists and turns along the way too. It's nice how so many things start falling into place as time goes on... it's funny how long it takes at times to really understand something because the game makes sure to remain vague about it early on. It's well beyond what's usually presented in console RPGs, in my opinion.
I hope to finish it soon. I'm kind of surprised at its short length, despite knowing ahead of time. I seem on track to finish this at a bit over twenty hours (not including restarts, obviously). Considering I'm at the end, I really have barely even begun to master the Mantra Grid.
I know there's some hidden stuff in the title (
and I didn't manage to get Heat either, although I prefer Roland honestly
), so that will take up some time. However, I can't help but feel that the game would have benefitted by even higher gains after battles. I don't know that I want to spend hours more on a title just to see and use the biggest attacks in the game; particularly when there is no real effect on the progression of the game.
Still, despite that, I've greatly enjoyed the title.

I was messing around on a search engine earlier and came across this page: http://page.freett.com/___htmlswich_/persona2/program.htmApparently this person was working on something that, coincidentally, shares the same name as my website. It seems like we had similar plans on one thing: a demonary collection. While mine is planned to be entirely web-based, this one looks to be a self-contained program. Furthermore, this one seems to deal with keeping track of teams you've come up with more than any thing else... It's hard to say from the pictures, though lol. There are downloads there that work just fine (left click, do not right click). I e-mailed the owner, but considering that the program itself looks to have been untouched since 1999, I'm not expecting a response... It's highly likely he either doesn't use that e-mail anymore or that it simply doesn't even work. Does any one know any thing about this?

It's just a little sad that it seems like I'm the only one that likes it. :-/ Hilariously, I found that out the other night when I was reading up on the title. So much about it seems to damn negative... but I notice you remain largely positive about it. I mean, it doesn't sound mindblowing in any way; but as a way to waste an hour? Why not. I'll check this out eventually, I'm sure. I don't know how it could be worse than Digital Devil was.

Playasia.com has it. I plan on getting it when I have more money. $35 doesn't really seem that terrible to me.
RPGFan also had a review of the soundtrack not so long ago. I don't have the link in front of me, but it should be easy enough to find on the site. Pretty positive.

I actually played this pretty heavily again a few days ago. I'm well past that boss and now I wonder why it was even a problem at all. The second time around it didn't seem remotely difficult. I guess sometimes you just need a break from these games.

Has anyone here bothered to try this out since its Japanese release? Every thing seems very quiet as far as this game goes. I'm hoping Atlus USA shows some interest in this title eventually, but honestly it seems so up in the air. I don't know why they'd bother with Demi-Kids and then ignore something like this that looks to be infinitely more entertaining.

I recently popped this into my PS2 again. It's weird to play after DDS 1&2 because you see ways in which those titles improved upon the game engine. I don't remember the walking animation and controls being this wonky before heh.
Looking forward to getting another ending this time around though. Any one else going to start playing this one again? If you don't even have it, Atlus.com has it in their store right now.

I've been playing too many different games at random intervals to count. I think most of my time has gone to Sly Cooper 2, though. Great game.
I've been obsessed with the latest Edan album, Beauty and the Beat. I've had it for quite some time, but several weeks ago it somehow leaked its way into my normal rotation and it's yet to leave. I don't listen to a lot of hip-hop (especially since what usually seems to appeal to me is not all that super popular and so I have no easy way to find it), but this is really damn good. Highly recommended.

I've never heard of Unfreez... I'm surprised you didn't use Imageready for the animation aspect, although, admittedly, the program is a pain in the ass and I constantly forget how to properly use its animation properties lol.
Either way, this is very cool. It's one of the better smilies I've seen, I can say that much. Looking forward to some more if you ever get around to it.

Time has been so hard to come by lately. I didn't get ridiculously far in DDS2 (I'm at that green slime guy mentioned here earlier, if you can believe that lol) and once Dragon Quest VIII came out it pretty much ate up 100% of my game playing time. I start a fulltime web design job this next Thursday too, which is going to hurt it even more... Working on this site is becoming harder and harder, but I'm not going to give up on it. I kind of wish someone would fully commit to helping me with it for once :(.

These forums and the main Digital Devil Database site will be down for a short time. I'm not exactly sure when or for how long, but it shouldn't be more than a day or two tops. I have to move over some things thanks to a server change and it involves changing some account settings that affect how this site will be placed in relationship to the server itself.
Thanks for your patience.
