^You are correct. There would be little to no interest here.

Also, DDS is ok. SMT3 is much better.

Agreed. Just purchase SMT3.

By the way, I'm an affiliate of Digital Devil Database. My site is Biohaze and it pertains to the Biohazard (RE) franchise.

I'm only a mild RE/Biohazard fan and have only been able to skim through your site, but I really like the looks of it.

Meh, I don't mind the boxes so much.

Sadly they have been doing that with every game related to SMT,that comes over here. With Nocturne,I can understand...but adding SMT to Digital Devil Saga,Devil Summoner and now Persona 3.

This was brought to Atlus NA's attention during the release of DDS, but they are just going to keep going with it.

With English and other language voice acting, regardless of whether it's bad, at least it sounds like they're trying. There's also little to no variation [in Japanese voice acting] -- like they use the same 4 or 5 voice actors for everything.

I feel the opposite. There seemed to be a little to no effort in the English VAs for many, many years.  The fact that there were so few quality products, and the select few that were decent stood head and shoulders above the rest, is testament to this. The pool of English VAs also seems quite a bit smaller. It might help that I watch a wide varitey of anime era wise. I don't watch that much new anime.

Though, I think Japanese voice acting is so popular just because people like listening to what they don't understand.

I can't disagree with this. Sometimes I like this to help set atmosphere if the environment is supposed to be quasi alien -- sort of like Panzerese in PD. My preference for native language isn't solely a Japanese thing. If the movie is German, I prefer German. If it is French, I prefer French. I guess it is just a purity issue for me.

Maybe tonight I will rewatch a little bit. I honestly hope I don't like it, I don't want to do any impulse buying. ;)

Maybe I will have to watch it again. Sometimes I kind of flip flop. I can't remember if Gonzo worked on Last Exile or not, but I always felt their work was overrated. I do remember liking some of the concepts present in LE.

Have you ever seen Last Exile?

I own the first few dvds, and I really like the idea of it, but I had real problems with the meshing / use of CG and some of the smaller ship designs. The CG was just jarring at times.

I think it is. It is one of the last quality, fully hand drawn anime series. I felt it was worth watching based on that alone.

I was thinking. Another reason why I dig on some anime, is due to the fact that it will take advantage of genres that live action won't or ones that haven't fully been realized, exploited, or aren't popular in the West.  I tend to like cyberpunk and steampunk. As far as visual media, there isn't much created here related to those genres outside of Blade Runner. While the movies aren't so hot, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex seasons 1 & 2 are pretty cool -- as is the first GitS manga series, the Dominion manga, and Appleseed manga (Masamune Shirow does pretty well with that genre).

Yeah, Suikoden 2 is extremely boring. The formula consists of just: Hero and company enter a city. Hero and company are forced to flee the city. Hero and company return to city and liberate it. Repeat. I didn't feel like I was accomplishing all that much.

That was exactly how I felt.

II is overrated and really not all that good. At least, not as good as people would like you to believe.

I have to agree. I was lucky enough to find it for $14.99 new. I have tried starting it up several times and I quit each time. It bores me to tears.

I didn't mind Shinji so much. I kind of like when a character has some faults. Although, I can see where some could be put off by it.

I believe I joined shortly after you. I remember some people do that over at the Haven.
