I could never get a burned copy of Persona to go past the initial dialog at the start of the game on my PS2. The boot disc I use works fine with PS1s and PS2s but the PS2 plays PS1 games kind of weird anyway, regardless if they're burned copies or not. I can play Persona on emulator though, it just looks all sorts of pixelated and grainy (despite plug-in settings) and the sprites just generally look like crap. I'd rather play it console but I think I'd have to find a working PS1 for it to work properly.
You could conceivably burn a copy of the finished iso of this translation onto a disc and play it on your console though, correct? I've been thinking about doing a translation for Soul Hackers (I have a lot of the groundwork laid out already) but I didn't want it to be limited to emulation-only. Uh I remember popping that game into a PS1 the day it hit the shelves. The only place I've ever seen pixels that size is emulating Famicom with 8x resolution! You're refering to IS right? I've never had any trouble emulating MIP (well I do recall some of the texture mappings be offset on the 3D dungeon walls -- dunno if that was ever fixed or not) Though I've never really got into it on an emulator. My PS2 won't play PS1 games or DVDs. Something about firmware being bare minimum. I have a slide tool setup now. Does anyone know where I could download a system (bios update) utility iso image? Does DS:SH retain the English spell names btw? If so you need to write up a complete list for me pronto

Yes, since my computer blowout I've been working full-time instead studying wiki technology and cutting my teeth on the javascript DOM, but mostly spending absurd amounts of times working on getting these preliminary layouts and translation prerequisites out of the way.
If not for my working comp going bust the wiki would've been really slow getting started. But now any of you out there with half a brain cell of love for Megaten better get your asses in there and start replicating this stuff all over the wiki :)
Also if you're reading this / playing IMAGINE and not helping out, shame on you. And just wait until I am able to play again, you should all be expecting an ear full!
Also for you registered users not editting, what are you waiting for?
[The Quick Start Guide is wide open for anyone to start in on!]

If its just standard adapter/cosmetic type inclosure, just pick one up at the store if you can locally, and return it if it doesn't work out. If you just want access to the PS2 I'd recommend networking it in any case. Though buying the special adapter might be pricey, I'm not sure. The newer models have an RJ45 port built in afaik.

So..lets say that this does come stateside, I am hoping that it won't come with a monthly payment like WoW and Blizzard..I mean, I like WoW lots, but I don't like paying them. Damn Blizzard... Do your homework! Also there is a forum for IMAGINE now, so why hasn't this thread been locked up tight?!

I protected the front page: http://dbdb.digitaldevildb.com/wiki/index.php/DBDB:Megami_Tensei_IMAGINE_inter-klan_mainframeNormal users can still add content to the front page by editting the Quick Start Guide there. There is also a new Pandemonium section on the front page for browsing Devil content, but it is probably best left alone for now. You can also add anything you like to the new Quick Reference page. Ultimately that page will be the virtual one stop shop for experienced players. You can access it from the sidebar. As soon as I can get around to it, the map on hte front page will become an Image map for accessing geographical areas of Imagine's world.

I set up a fresh klan advert, you should be able to join now.
Weeks? Further complications, or just a longer waiting time for your graphics card than you had expected? Well yeah... if all I needed was a new card I'd been able to login almost a week ago. Turned out the card slot was burned up (worst case scenario) so like I think I told you, I have to finish researching the state of the art and wait for the parts to ship.

That damn klan advert seems to go away every two weeks now days. She has never set one up before afaik, but we'll see.

Secrets and lies! I would never blaspheme against most traditional American music stylings. To me though there is a very distinct difference between Kenny Chesney/Billy Ray Cyrus and Hank Williams/Dolly Parton/Loretta Lynn, so maybe something I said in passing to you had been misconstrued. Sure OK, you win.

I didn't expect Horus to be quite so "contemporary." I'm surprised this wasn't dubbed and marketed in the states??? For the record, apparently "Hols" is the more respectible localization. Dunno the official line, but it does seem more Norse / less Egyptian. Of course I wouldn't put it above the Japanese to mash-up the mytho-verses.
