I've been playing Majin Tensei 2: Spiral Nemesis, and I have some questions.

1. Did Kaneko do the character designs? I can't really find any art of the characters, and they don't look too much like Kaneko designs. Ironically, Majin Tensei 1's designs look more Kaneko-ish -- as the Heroine kind of looks like Beth from SMT2.

2. What does FASS and DIO stand for?

3. Is there any meaning behind the name "Spiral Nemesis"? I know it was the name of some project in the game. I kind of assumed it might've been a reference to Ouroboros, but it's probably not. I also assume they chose it just because it sounds cool?

4. Am I the only one that thinks Naoki looks kind of like Bill Pullman in the in-game face portraits?

That's it, for now.

The Artworks in MT2 are made by TATSUO KOMATSU and FUMIHITO ISHII.
And Illustrations in MT1 are made by MASAO HORIGUCHI and KOUJI TAKINO (he did Last Bible 2&3 as well).

I think the game is named Spiral Nemesis because the heros in this game make frequents warp thought the time (they start on 1996 and go near 2052), like a spiral thought the time. It's due to the Dio System if i recall correctly.

Were any artbooks released for the Majin Tensei games?

I´m  not sure if Dio means something else in the game, but I do know it´s God in itallian.
About Spiral Nemesis, there´s a theory on the internet that it is a refference to the DNA.
That´s just what I know (not of much help, am I?:blah:)

I figured DIO would stand for something -- Devil Something Something -- just because it's written out in capitals, so I assumed it was an acronym. I guess it could have a double meaning -- God and some acronym I can't seem to find.

And where'd they come up with the DNA Theory?

Maybe Devil Infused Organisms? Maybe the title Spiral Nemesis has something more to do with origins or the returning to an event or person.

And where'd they come up with the DNA Theory?
Maybe it had something to do with the four basic elements that compose the double helix strand or a simile of sorts.

Pandas on the storm.... Pandas on the storm.... Into this house we roam. Then to the streets we run. When the peeps aren't having fun it's to us they first shall come. Pandas on the storm... YEAH!

This game is quite old actually, it was released on Snes. I believe there was a translation project going on, but I´m not sure...

http://www.geocities.com/freakservo/ seems to be the only place to even mention a translation patch... and even they haven't even started it. I don't know why they bothered saying it's a "project" at all, considering that.
