Atlus USA ha lanzado la web oficial de Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor. El sitio incluye una lista de cosas por las cuales debemos emocionarnos, incluyendo un video in-game, capturas de pantalla e información de los caracteres e historia. Actualmente solo tres caracters y un trozo de la historia ha sido publicada, pero solo con ver estos videos debería de ser suficiente para tener emocionado a cualquier fan de Megaten.

El sitio promete actualizaciones como fondos de pantalla, avatares (gratuitos), y por supuesto, más información sobre la historia y los once personajes principales que habitan el mundo del juego, así que asegúrate de chequearlo regularmente.

¿Es la secuela de Devil Summoner todo lo que debería de ser?

La reciente publicación de "Shin Megami Tensei Devil Summoner 2: Raidou Kuzunoha vs King Abaddon" parece valer su dinero, según el Internet. Lanzado el 12 de Mayo, la secuela a la primera cuota popular ha reunido un número alto de reseñas positivas. Ninguna de las cuales parece bajar del marcador de 80%. Un logro realmente alto sin duda alguna.

Así que,¿Por qué tanta emoción?. Combate mejorado, gráficas y contenido extra (sin mencionar múltiples finales y el progreso de la historia) son solo algunas de las cosas elogiadas con cada reseña, añadiendo también que el juego es un su mayoría una gran mejora en casi todo aspecto posible. Pero no tomes nuestras palabras por ciertas.

^The imageshack link wasn't working not in here nor at the Atlus forums, where I do happen to use the same exact signature, so I decided to delete the link, and since I lost the file I haven't been able to re-upload it... it's true that I have that signature on my email configurations, but I wanted to make a new one to use on the forums, but since I've been very busy and lazy I haven't made the new one yet. 

I guess I'll make it really soon now that I'll start working for my demonic encyclopedia... ups!! me and my big mouth.

What a shame, this is no longer the same place I used to enjoy visiting back in the days.

Megami Ibunroku Devil Survivor's success was a big hit, and appears to have inspired Atlus to develop their next game for the same console. This time around, <u>Kazuma Kaneko</u> himself will take the lead as the character & devil designer and producer. Other development team members include:

The story? You are a soldier enlisted as a member of a group of explorers [mainly scientists and other soldiers,] sent to investigate the dimensional rift at the south pole. There are 4 distinct crews in this exploration team, each in a different ship: Red Sprite No. 1's crew are the commanders; Blue Jet No. 2 & and Gigantic No. 4 specialize in battle, and Elves No. 3 are scientists.
In order to survive in this alternate realm, the scientists have created Demonica Suits; armor that improve abilities and can be customized. Allied explorers will also play a part in the story; you cannot win alone. Your interactions with your teammates will affect the progression of the story.

With approximately 300 demons, including some new designs by Kaneko never seen before, battles will be far from dull. These demons will be obtainable as allies mainly through negotiation and fusion. Allied devils will also be able to give you quests to find rare items, as well as perform combo attacks with allied or other teammates' demons.

The game will be released on <u>October 8th 2009 in Japan</u>; no scheduled release date is confirmed elsewhere as of yet. It will be a <u>Nintendo DS</u> first-person view RPG with a retail price of 6,279Y. No word yet on any "innovative" stylus/touch screen functions. This game does not have a "IV" anywhere in it's name, so this is not the "next-gen" SMT game fans have been waiting for, but looks to be a fantastic entry to the Shin Megami Tensei series regardless.

Well it's true that all the images I post for the news in here are from my blog's, but now that you mention it, I don't have the backup of the entire library of my blog. I'll be saving all those files on my comp for backup purpose while we figure out an account in some place to store them. Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, I don't plan to remove/delete the files on my blog, so I guess is good to say that the files are safe and sound for now.

By now, I'm really happy with the upcoming game, but it would be cool if we could get a PS3 release of any Megaten game. But not sure if they should keep producing Persona games, I think they should give it a little bit of time and focus on developing SMT4.

BTW, that announcement was corrected by the same "pachinko stuff" page, if I'm not wrong. What I mean is, we better not start making ideas of a Persona 5 game if Strange Journey is just around the corner. But who knows, though.

Yeah! The game looks interesting and amazing. It's good they return to the basics with this one. I was hoping for a PS3 release but now that I think about it, this game looks amazing on the NDS, it's just sweet to have another portable Megaten game. And about the 300 demons, wow that's a big number just there I guess this will give the game good gameplay or even replay value. Ok, gotta catch 'em all!

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey, la próxima entrega de la franquicia de Megaten, está siendo producido para la consola portátil de Nintendo. Al parecer el título pasado de Megami Ibunroku DEVIL SURVIVOR fue un gran hit para ATLUS, tan grande que decidieron producir el siguiente juego de la franquicia para la misma consola (dejándonos a nosotros, los fans, sin la idea de que este sería el siguiente juego para consolas de tercera generación). Esta ves, Kazuma Kaneko tomará las riendas como diseñador de personajes.

Con un aproximado de 300 demonios, este juego parece ser el más grande nido de demonios de todos los anteriores juegos de la franquicia, podremos comunicarnos con estos demonios para así persuadirlos y fusionarlos, el juego es en primera persona con el mapa en la pantalla inferior. ¿Quieres saber un poco de la historia? Bueno, eres un soldado que nació en Japón, espero haya sido suficiente.

Con suerte y ATLUS decide darle alguna función en especial al Stylus de la consola.
