Now that Morzas mentioned the Megaten Haven, I´ve remembered a nice tradition they had in the old days: They always asked the newbies wich game was their first contact with the series and wich was their favorite.
Sounds like a good tradition, right?
I´m not trying to steal somebody´s ideia, and besides, I doubt they invented that, but it´s a nice way to make the newcommers feel more confortable.

This started on the Nocturne Thread so I decided to expand it. Let´s see if it works.
The ideia is to state your favorite demon allies and maybe the reasons for that. So go on ahead and declare your love for them!:hearton:

He looked really cool, and the way he breaths in the status screen is just... perfect .   I´ve wanted that demon since the first time I saw him, in the Hospital at the start of the game.

It´s Black Frost.

Amaterasu:
My first special fusion demon. Really usefull.

Pixie:
She´s really nice, and being the only demon I´ve kept the whole game, she was the most used and usefull one.

...Movies.........I left Blade Runner playing in the DVD player while I did some work around the house the other night....

I've been meaning to play this game again. I played the original so I'm thinking of trying out the Maniacs version with Dante in it. Plus, the extra amounts of story does sound interesting. I enjoyed the game a lot and I miss my demon goddess, Parvati! XD

The music was also fun to listen to. Sure I can just stick the soundtrack into my CD player right now but it's much more enjoyable playing the game with the music in the background. :)

Now that you mention Parvati, I think everyone had a favorite demon, for one reason or the other. I know I liked my Shiisa, he was so cool!:smug:

Nice list, but I disagree on some:

X: Wheel of Fortune: I believe this card fits Zato-1/Eddie better than Jam
Reason:His luck seems to shift more often than normal people(check his story). Besides there´s the visual aspect, he resembles the tarot card in many pics of the official artwork and he´s blind(this card is often portrayed with a blind woman).

XVII: Star: Jam
Reason:The Star have to do with hopes and dreams, as Jam dreams to have her own restaurant. And there´s the unespected help, wich came from Sol, letting her take the credit for defeating Dizzy.

XV: Devil: Slayer
Reason:Even being an imortal he still cares about the material world, and there´s the visual thing.

I´m not sure, but I think the Robo-Kys could be the Minor Arcana Kings or maybe the Knights...

Also, you might be right about A.B.A.
Reason:She was free to leave home anytime, but she stayed there for 10 years.

I´ve also changed my mind about Faust: I think he might be the Magician after all.
Reason:The magician is said to represent a medicine man, and Faust´s moves involve a lot of teleporting and weird stuff, the so-called illusionism of the Magician.

That way, the Fool card would be Leopaldon.
Reason:Even though no one knows much about him, the Fool is always portrayed with his loyal dog.

And Jonny and May would be the lovers :buh:.

It's a very great RPG... I think Digital Devil Saga 1 & 2 are the best... but Nocturne lists exactly after. It a great game with an excelent story... a little demoniac, but very enjoyable and funny. It speak sometimes about God's creation and some other religions, so... that's why I like it...

I still prefer Noctune´s style and story, I`m a sucker for post-apocalyptic stuff :buh:.
The whole religious thing makes the games even better, the soundtracks are awsome, and Kaneko´s artwork it´s just... :ooooh:

...I don't know why they'd bother with Demi-Kids and then ignore something like this that looks to be infinitely more entertaining.

I guess they though Demi-Kids had that whole "pokémon" thing going for it, so they decided it was worth the risk .
But there´s still hope for Devil Summoner PSP, if Kuzonoha Raidou gets released in the US :blah:.

This game is quite old actually, it was released on Snes. I believe there was a translation project going on, but I´m not sure...

I don't know the English word... but in Spanish... Cielos' hair style are called "rastas". And I don't know how it work... but I think Heat's opinion is the correct.

It is actually called Dread-locks, but since it has to do with Rastafarians and all some people nicknamed the hair style "Rasta" or "Rastafari".

Anyway, it´s an anime.

You left out both Aba (the new girl with the key), and Robo-Ky.

Their is a Offical art Image that has Robo-Ky sitting on a throne like the Emperor in some Tarot decks.

An the meaning of the card fits his purpose.

ABA the new girl who first appears in Isuka (may have mispelled it) comforms to the Hermit.

I think ABA fits the world card better, but anyway...
Things got more complicated with the new GG releases. You see, there are more characters than tarot cards now, so there are 3 choices:
1- some characters don´t fit any card at all
2- some characters share their card
3- some characters are minor arcana cards
About the Robo-Kys, I´ve never though about them like that... I´ve always though that the Emperor card would be "That man".
