Post Apocalyptic Hellscape / Tower of Babel / Italian (Italiano)

Italian is setup at ( http://www.digitaldevildb.com/maintenance/locales/it/) We need Italian translators (VMee) to register with the front page however with the same name as you registered with the forums. Then I can give you Italian translation privileges so you can work on that page... http://www.digitaldevildb.com/wp-login.php?action=registerYou will need either Firefox3, Google Chrome, or probably Safari to work on this page. Otherwise it will look very wrong, and might not work (I haven't had time to back port it -- and since it's an admin page that is not a big priority) For now, please work on this. We will try to get information on translating pages up asap. I'm also going to work on a special page to make that easier in the meantime. For translating news, please just follow the link from the news item that says "Forum Discussion" and post your translation in that forum thread. We will add it asap. http://www.digitaldevildb.com/it/

Sure, I'll setup Italian right now. I did send you an email on behalf of the website, but if you'll forgive me, I really don't understand why people always want to be contacted by email?? Maybe you could explain? We use the forums for pretty much everything. There is a pseudo-private forum as an alternative for our users that use PMs heavily (for website improvement purposes) ...we'll let you in if you ever need it / fill up your karma. It's really too complicated for me or anyone to stay in touch with so many people by email I try to make transparency a value around here

Ok then... now that I know more I'll try to set something up.
On a side note. It would be nice to have cover scans for the different volumes, even if the cover of the mag does not feature Persona 4. Contextual information never hurts.

Oh I was just asking if you/anyone knew of anything for publishing multilingual comics (I don't really follow the comics scene)
So I gotta ask. Are the three downloads Emilio posted each a one month release? Or are they all part of the same month? Also is this mag really published every month? Because it sort of looks like a quarterly mag (it says Autumn on the cover after all)
Finally I guess I should assume this manga is just called Persona 4? Btw, does it follow the same story as the game? Before or after the game?? Or is it a side adventure of some kind?

Oh yeah, that link^ is not part of the public site proper. So I haven't busted my ass to make it backwards compatible with older browsers. So I recommend Firefox3, Google Chrome, and probably Safari. Anything else will probably be unusable Also, if it isn't obvious... you don't have to commit one phrase at a time, nor do you need to "compile" each field you enter. That is you just need to compile/commit when you're finished. It's no big deal if you just translate one phrase (for a quick fix) ...but it does generate a number of fairly large files on the server every revision.

Post Apocalyptic Hellscape / Tower of Babel / Chinese

I added a simplified Chinese translation capability, and gave wofzau translation privileges for this page: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/maintenance/locales/zh/WordPress doesn't seem to have a "Complex" Chinese localization. That's not to say it could not be done, but it would have to be done from scratch. I don't care if articles are written in traditional Chinese, but then I don't know the first thing about how the two "modes" are employed online. I'd assume Simplified is an attempt to bridge different languages and dialects, but for all I know it could just be to make reading/writing easier. Likewise I've no idea whether or not the two may be mixed. What to do is up to the Chinese capable crew PS: I'll try to churn out a flag icon as soon as someone wants to translate an article. In the meantime it's probably makes more sense to get most of the interface translated first. Speaking of which I still have not gotten around to making the entire interface translatable, but at least more than 70% is marked up / hacked together (shouldn't that be an oxmoron??)

I will go ahead and set things up just in case. I think we like to start with the interface (basically all the window dressing that doesn't constitute actual writing) ...so maybe that would be easier to cut your teeth on. Of course we hope after the ball gets rolling other Chinese fluent people will jump into the process. With all the Spanish capable people we're collecting, and the fact we have no English writers pledging to come up with original stuff (I try not to write stuff) ...the website is very likely to become a Spanish first one. Officially however, I think the aim is to just let anyone who wants to to contribute however they're most comfortable (and just let translators / editors catch up) PS: I noticed that you spelled your name wo lfzau in your WordPress account. Which do you prefer? Because I'd prefer these to be the same. Eventually we're planning to unify all the accounts so you only need register once. Also I will split these conversation posts eventually so they don't gum up your SOS thread

What's wrong with squishing people to death?? Anyway, congrats, you're published... http://www.digitaldevildb.com/anime/digital-devil-story-megami-tensei-anime-ova/I edited the last paragraph on the end a little for functionality. And I changed this bit: "Of personal interest is the art style itself, which is quite obviously based off of the artwork that went along with the original video game release of Megami Tensei." Because I have a feeling the anime came first (regardless of publishing dates) ...but I left it ambiguous because I'm not in a fact checking frame of mind atm. If anyone knows for sure, hopefully they will just comment on the page. I didn't give it a thorough looking over, but I trust that it's ok. I gotta trust editors at some point I guess if I ever wanna be completely free of the business myself. PS: I gotta admit I have a warm spot in my heart for classic anime (up to the late 80s with some odd exceptions) ...the more recent stuff though I find nearly infuriatingly disturbing, and I can't tell you precisely why, but the artist in me probably suspects the glut of it is of vastly inferior quality -- though I'm sure most of the human population would argue otherwise... and to no end (what with all our modern know-how and production values~)
