( I | n | t | r | o ) \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ In Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne for the PS2 there is a special place called "Rag's Jewelry" where you can obtain rare items, and special demons you can't recruit via negotiation. This is the only place in the game where you have to exchange your gems for the things you need, and you can't use your money to buy things here, it seems this store can only be found in Ginza, and nowhere else. *********************************************************************** _ _ _ _ _ _ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ ( I | I ). ( G | e | m | s ) \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ Like I said before, you need gems in order to trade in Rag's Jewelry, Rag won't accept Macca (Regular money). Here are the gems available in the game, and you can only acquire these gems from Demons, and sometimes treasure chests. 1)*Agate* Demons that carry it: Erthys, Koopa, Badb Catha, Monumufu, Shikome Demon Locations: Amala Network, Ikeburuko, Asakusa, Mantra's Headquarters, Labyrinth of Amala (1st Kalpa, 2nd Kalpa, and 5th Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2)*Amethyst* Demons that carry it: Eligor, Fomor, Surt, Barong, Loki Demon Locations: World Map (Ginza area), Great Underpass of Ginza, Assembly of Nihilo, Obelisk, Amala Temple (Black Pyramid), Bandou Shrine, Tower of Kagutsushi, Labyrinth of Amala (1st. Kalpa, 5th. Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 3)*Aquamarine* Demons that carry it: Aquans, Forneus, Mizuchi, Demon Locations: Labyrinth of Amala (1st. Kalpa), Assembly of Nihilo, Kabukicho Prison ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4)*Coral* Demons that carry it: Nue, Taraka, Incubus, Phantom Demon Locations: Mantra's Headquarters, Assembly of Nihilo, Ikeboruko Tunnel, Asakusa, Amala Network part 2, Labyrinth of Amala (1st. Kalpa, 2nd. Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 5)*Diamond* Demons that carry it: Usually you'll get this gem through a special Conversation if you bring the right demon with you. The enemy "Throne" of the Divine clan has one if you bring Michael of the Seraph clan, Throne can be found in the Tower of Kagutsushi, and for some reason he'll only give you one, other than that I have seen no other demons drop this gem. Other Locations: I also found Diamonds in the Great Underpass of Ginza, Asakusa, and the 4th. Kalpa of the Labyrinth of Amala inside cache cubes, or treasure chests. The Diamond is really hard to come by. Tip: You can also find Diamonds on the world map if one of your active party members have the passive skill "Lucky Find", just walk around, and you might pick it up if you're really lucky. Tip contributed by behemonaut ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 6)*Emerald* Demons that carry it: Like the Diamond, the Emerald can be obtain from A special conversation, if you still have Seraph Michael, then negotiate with the enemy Virtue, it seems he only has one Emerald to spare since he didn't gave me more for some reason. Other Locations: Ginza, and Asakusa inside treasure chest, even rarer than the Diamond. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 7)*Garnet* Demons that carry it: Aeros, Pyro Jack, Principality, Cerberus, Oni Demon Locations: Mantra Headquarters, Ginza, Ikeburuko Tunnel, Asakusa (World Map), Diet Building, Labyrinth of Amala (1st Kalpa, 3rd Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 8)*Jade* Demons that carry it: Kelpi, Kusi Mitama, Ose, Decarabia, Demon Locations: Ikeburuko Tunnel, Asakusa, Obelisk, Amala Network Part 2, Amala Temple (Black Pyramid), Diet Building, Labyrinth of Amala( 1st Kalpa, 2nd Kalpa, 3rd Kalpa, and 4th Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 9)*Ruby* Demons that carry it: Nigi Mitama, Pazuzu, Girimehkala, Tao Tie Demon Locations: Obelisk, Diet Building, Labyrinth of Amala( 2nd Kalpa, 3rd Kalpa, 4th Kalpa, and 5th Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 10)*Pearl* Demons who carry it: If one of your demons have the "Stone Hunt" Conversation skill, then use it on an enemy called Flauros during a conversation, he may or may not give it to you. (He took me a few tries before he gave me one other than the regular Life Stones) Other than that I have seen no other demon drop this gem after battle. The only place to do is the Tower of Kagutsushi. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 11)*Sapphire* Demons that carry it: Flaemis, Saki Mitama, Odin, Titania Demon Locations: Amala Network Part 2, Yoyogi Park (Construction site), Labyrinth of Amala(1st Kalpa, And 5th Kalpa), Bandou Shrine Additionally, if you have a demon with the "Stone Hunt" conversation skill, you can acquire a Sapphire from a High Pixie in Yoyogi Park. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 12) *Onyx* Demons that carry it: Zhen, Bicorn, Picasa, Setanta, Power(*1) Demon Locations: World Map (Outside Shinjuku Medical Center, Yoyogi Park, and Ginza), Ginza, Ikeburuko, Kabukicho Prison, Yoyogi Park (Construction Site), Mantra's Headquarters, Mifunashiro, Labyrinth of Amala (1st. Kalpa, 2nd. Kalpa, 3rd. Kalpa, 4th. Kalpa) (*1): Later in the game as soon as you talk to Chiaki at the 66th. floor of the Mantra's Headquarters, the enemy Power (as well as the other angel type demons) will replace the regular enemies inside that building. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 13) *Opal* Demons that carry it: Dis, Virtue(*2), Mothman, Throne Demon Locations: Ikeburuko Tunnel, Mantra's Headquarters, Amala Temple (Outside Area within the Temple, or in the World Map), Asakusa, Mifunashiro, Tower of Kagutsushi, Labyrinth of Amala (1st. Kalpa, 2nd. Kalpa, 3rd. Kalpa) (*2): After you clear Mifunashiro the demon Virtue as well as other Gem Holders of different types like Principality, Power, and Dominion will start appearing in Asakusa. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 14) *Turquoise* Demons that carry it: Lilim, Sudama, Naga, Baphomet, Quetzalcoalt Demon Locations: Ginza, Great Underpass of Ginza, Kabukicho Prison, Obelisk, Amala Temple (Black Pyramid), Labyrinth of Amala (1st. Kalpa, 3rd. Kalpa, 4th. Kalpa, 5th. Kalpa) ----------------------------------------------------------------------- That should cover the Gems I found in the game, the demons who carry it as well as their locations are as accurate as humanly possible, there will be a few times when the demons I listed may give you a different item like a life stone or a dis-mute, but I assure you they'll give you the gem they are supposed to drop eventually, so don't give up. I'm pretty sure the main character's luck has to do with how often demons will drop the items after battle. Additionally, when one of your Demons gains a level, there's a small chance it'll want to talk to you, always listen what they have to say since they'll always give you an item to show their gratitude, sometimes they'll give you gems like Garnets, or even Emeralds if you're really lucky. *********************************************************************** / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ ( I | I | I | . For example when you try to fuse a Dominion of the Divine class with a Flaemis, the result will be Throne who is the next rank up of the Divine class, but if you try to fuse that Dominion with an Erthys, you'll then get a Virtue who is one of the low ranks of the Divine class. Try to experiment with different Elementals and Demons, you'll never you what you might get. On another note, whenever you visit Rag's, his list of demons change slighty, sometimes Flaemis is listed twice in his list, one with his original statistics, while another one with different statistics (Usually a bit higher, but it'll require more gems), this is true with the rest of the Elements available for trading, so try to exit and re- entering Rag's until you get the Elemental you need. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Legend HP = Hit Points MP = Magic Points St = Strength Ma = Magic Vi = Vitality Ag = Agility Lu = Luck 1) *Flaemis* (Original) Lv. 20 HP:156 MP:96 St:10 Ma:12 Vi:6 Ag:6 Lu:7 Drains: Fire Null: Expel/Death Weak: Ice Abilities: Maragi, Bright Might, Makakaja, Media, Void Mind, Agialo Gems Needed: Pearl x1 Coral x1 1a) *Flaemis* Lv. 21 HP:162 MP:102 Ma:13 Other than that, it's the same as the Lv. 20 Flaemis Gems Needed: Pearl x1 Garnet x1 1b) *Flaemis* Lv. 21 HP:162 MP:96 St:11 Bonus Ability: Mabufu Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 20 Flaemis Gems Needed: Pearl x1 Turquoise x1 1c) *Flaemis* Lv. 22 HP:168 MP:105 St:11 Ma:13 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 20 Flaemis Gems Needed: Pearl x1 Onyx x1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 2) *Aquans* (Original) Lv. 15 HP:126 MP:75 St:6 Ma:10 Vi:6 Ag:6 Lu:8 Repel: Ice Null: Expel/Death Weak: Fire Abilities: Sukukaja, Anti-Expel, Mabufu, Anti-Nerve, Life Bonus, Bufula Gems Needed: Agate x1 Aquamarine x2 2a) *Aquans* Lv. 16 HP:132 MP:78 Lu:9 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 15 Aquans Gems Needed: Agate x2 Aquamarine x2 2b) *Aquans* Lv. 17 HP:138 MP:84 Ma:11 Lu:9 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 15 Aquans Gems Needed: Agate x3 Aquamarine X2 2c) *Aquans* Lv. 17 HP:138 MP:84 St:7 Ma:11 Bonus Abilities: Void Nerve, Void Mind Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 15 Aquans Gems Needed: Agate x3 Aquamarine x3 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- 3) *Aeros* (Original) Lv. 11 HP:102 MP:57 St:5 Ma:8 Vi:6 Ag:8 Lu:5 Null: Expel/Death Resist: Magic Abilities: Dia, Zio, Lullaby, Marin Karin, Anti-Mind, Toxic Sting Gems Needed: Agate x1 Turquoise x2 3a) *Aeros* Lv. 12 HP:108 MP:60 Ag:9 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 11 Aeros Gems Needed: Agate x2 Turquoise x2 3b) *Aeros* Lv. 12 HP:108 MP:60 St:6 Bonus Ability: Dorminia Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 11 Aeros Gems Needed: Agate x2 Turquoise x3 3c) *Aeros* Lv. 13 HP:114 MP:66 Ma:9 Ag:9 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 11 Aeros Gems Needed: Agate x3 Turquoise x2 3d) *Aeros* Lv. 13 HP:114 MP:66 St:6 Lu:6 Bonus Ability: Mepatra Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 11 Aeros Gems Needed: Agate x3 Turquoise x3 ----------------------------------------------------------------------- 4) *Erthys* (Original) Lv. 7 HP:90 MP:36 St:6 Ma:5 Vi:8 Ag:4 Lu:5 Null: Expel/Death Weak: Force Abilities: Zio, Patra, Rakukaja, Anti-Curse, Arbitration, Mazio Gems Needed: Agate x1 Onyx x2 4a) *Erthys* Lv. 8 HP:102 MP:39 St:5 Vi:9 Ag:5 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 7 Erthys Gems Needed: Agate x2 Onyx x2 4b) *Erthys* Lv. 8 HP:108 MP: 39 St:5 Vi:10 Bonus Ability: Tarukaja Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 7 Erthys Gems Needed: Agate x2 Onyx x3 4c) *Erthys* Lv. 9 HP:114 MP:42 St:5 Vi:10 Ag:5 Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 7 Erthys\ Gems Needed: Agate x3 Onyx x2 4d) *Erthys* Lv. 9 HP:120 MP:42 St:5 Vi:11 Bonus Abilities: Tarukaja, Makakaja Other than that, it's mostly the same as the Lv. 7 Erthys Gems Needed: Agate x3 Onyx x3 *********************************************************************** _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ / \ ( V | . ( M | i | t | a | m | a | s ) \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ \_/ Like the Elementals, Mitamas are mostly useful for fusions inside the Cathedral of Shadows, but in a different way. Unlike Elementals, Mitamas can actually increase the statistics of Demons, for example say you want to fuse your Queen Mab with a Saki Mitama, you'll get another Queen Mab, but you'll notice the fused Queen Mab had her Vi, and Lu increased by 2-3 points, if you fused that Queen Mab with a Ara Mitami, then her St, and Ag would have increased by 2-3 points. This is possibly the only way to power up your demons, but try to do so with Demons you'll want to keep for a long while, please note the Main Character can not be fused at all. The following is the Bonuses you get from the 4 Mitamas during fusion. ___________ Ara Mitama St. Bonus Ag. Bonus ___________ Nigi Mitama Ma. Bonus Lu. Bonus ___________ Kusi Mitama Vi. Bonus Ag.
