Yeah, uhhhh.....
How come I use Yen to summon my demons? That doesn't make any sense, it should be Magnetite.  doh
So, if I use money to summon my demons, what do I do with magnetite anyways?

The Magnetite is consumed by your demons at every step. If you have summoned demons and start walking, you can see the MAG decreasing little by little.

Quote from: Lexicon
All things have traces of this, particularly living humans/demons. It is required for demons to survive. Thus, the only way to preserve one's existance is to devour one's enemies.

Additional Info: Magnetite is a magnetic mineral form of both iron(II) oxide and iron(III) oxide or (iron(II,III) oxide), with chemical formula Fe3O4, one of several iron oxides and a member of the spinel group.

Is that all? Just the steps? It seems senseless that demons require money in order to be summoned, should have been magnetite.
Well, uhh....thanks, I suppose.

Well, it's supposed that the demons require Magnetite to be summoned, and as far as I know you spend Magnetite when you summon them (in both SMT I and SMT II) not Makka (yen).

Devils need money too biggrin

I think paying them to come out is great. You feed them the magnetite afterward. Macca means "Magic Currency" more or less, it's basically what devils use to buy stuff. A devils gotta keep a roof over it's head too rainbow

Most of the game you use macca, but in the early part you use yen instead. I guess you could say devils enjoy earthly pleasures. Some devil somewhere probably has a yen to macca racket going on smokin

The angels even have the cathedral to build... you don't think that costs some yen rolleyes

It's actually better that they cost money because you only get MAG from defeating "Dark"-aligned enemies and it can become a pretty rare commodity in later parts of the game.

Well, they could just made it so you get more MAG from enemies.
It strange. It's like,
"Hey, can you come out from my computer?"
"Sure. That'll be 300 yen, thank you."

Well they're not really your friends... they're opportunists like everyone else wink

Megaten isn't Pokemon, though many games do feature loyalty system which would for example lower the summoning costs.

Remember, the demons don't owe you anything. They're demons after all. And a demon can't live on mag alone smokin

I know, I know. But they don't even have anything to do with the money - they live inside a computer, for Shiva's sake. I suppose they're just planning on retiring once everything is over.

Demons live in Makai, or the Asiah (sp?) world in the original novels.
