Anyone else interested in this title? I've been tracking this game since the first screenshots. We have to wait and see on how it will turn out, but it will be the most beatiful game for sure!

Has anyone played the japanese version?

If you don't even know what I'm talking about here's some info:

Thoughts, opinions?

There was actually a demo of this in OPM one month. A lot of people seemed to miss that. It seems to be timed though... I know it just suddenly ended for me.

It's an interesting game, based on what I played. Being able to use a brush to create things within the game is a very novel concept that I'm surprised hasn't come up more often before. It definitely benefits from the art style in many ways.

Something small that I enjoyed was that when you run around things grow behind you. The faster you run, the more wild and pretty the plants and such are. It's a cool little touch.

I'll probably be renting it, but I'm not so sure I'll plop the $40 to $50 down. It really depends on how long it is.

I've read the import reviews and all of them say that it's a long game, 50+ hours.

I've seen a lot of ads for it in the past but haven't gotten around to actually playing it. The designs of the game are unique and interesting so hopefully, I'll give it a go sooner or later. :)

This seems to be one of those "gaming as an art form" type things, in the way that Shadow of the Colossus and Ico was. I'll prolly get it - the art style is very novel. The story also seems to have that distinct oriental flavour to it.

What was in the demo was very heavily based on Japanese mythology... it was pretty interesting. I'm sure what's in the full game will be far more developed, but what was there was certainly enough for a title of this type.

The Japanese version was reviewed in PLAY magazine and scored a whopping 93%! Apparently, there are heavy RPG aspects in what I previously thought was a platformer. There are dungeons, villages, sidequests etc. I am now VERY interested in buying this.

Okami so far strikes me as a Japariffic Shadow of the Collosus type with its deep artistry.

If I can, I'll most certainly be picking this one up.
