I think Megaten generally likes to mix the names around so they are easy to say and sound more like proper names. Plus there is always the Japanese tendancy to use as few syllables as lexically possibe to distinguish borrowed words.

Actually, it's probably because the Japanese suck at correctly romanizing shit. And, I'm sure there's not nearly as many good mythological resources in Japanese as there are in English, so I'm sure that contributes to the screw ups.

Yeah, that was the name. I was sure it wasn't Hanuman. What was the story on Seimen anyone? Was that the same character as in SMT1 during the netherworld sequence after the bomb?

I don't recall Seimen Kongou being in any game other than the first Persona. This page has information about him. Apparently, he used to cause disease, but then became a deity that protected against disease. Go figure.

Was there a descriminable reason you were banned? Or just because?

I was banned because some new guy got pissed off at me for making a remark about something I can't even recall, but it wasn't directed towards him or anyone else on the Haven, but regardless, he started this huge flame war against me, of which I didn't really partake in (I never flamed him back; but others did). Brand got pissed off at me, PMed me and was all like, "Oh, if you've nothing nice to say, then don't say anything at all," or something equally stupid along those lines. I retorted with a PM stating she's a mediocre, neglectful admin [only in more words than that], and according to Prince Aries, I was banned for what I said in the PM. Though, I was always under the impression that PMs were, in a way, separate from the forum. Go figure. I don't really care all that much, because the Haven was as good as dead, anyway, and I had my own forum to go to and post on.

Any forum on a public topic that cannot be read without registration should be put down, or at least tucked away where no one can find it

No. I think it was Seimen Kongou/Shouman Kongou [Starion in the U.S. version]. At least, that's the Persona he's always affiliated with.

I believe the reason they set it so only registered users could browse the forum is because whiny Brand banned me, and I guess she thought it would piss me off if I couldn't browse the forum [or that it would, somehow, prevent me from coming back and trolling], but it didn't because I haven't been back there since I was banned. Prince Aries, an admin there, I believe ran the PHPBB2 pruning-thing or something and that's why a lot of threads are missing. At least, that's what he told me.

As I've stated in other threads, the Haven hasn't been worth anyone's time in around 4 years.

Sounds like this was the intention from the start. Persona 3 definitely felt more like a mediocre, cliché anime series than an actual Persona game.

It seems Atlus is succumbing to Squaresoft syndrome.

While the music might seem good initially, I began to realize that it was like Hitoshi Sakimoto was just composing Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story soundtracks 1.5. He doesn't diverge from his previous scores too much. I mean, it's good..

Disagreed. I despise Sakimoto, but his music in Stella Deus was definitely above average, and better than what he usually does. It's still in his usual style (which gets old fast), but at least it isn't as bland as his other work, which usually sounds like he's run out of ideas so he just kind of pounds on a keyboard for a few hours and hopes the result is something palatable enough to be accepted as music by the game director.

Ok, but I was seeing the prices and I found one at $23.99, do you think it worths it? For me  is just fine.

If it's only $20, then buy it.

I Loved The Dark Cloud/Dark Chronicle 1 and 2
I think it has a better ost than Nocturne

Dark Cloud was awesome, but Dark Cloud 2 was kind of bad. The music in two was also not as good as the music in the first game.

Of course, though, it had a better soundtrack than Shin Megami Tensei 3. The only thing worse than a Shoji Meguro soundtrack is a Hitoshi Sakimoto soundtrack. Unless, of course, we count Stella Deus. Then Meguro is worse.
