:O I love Ghibli.

Also, has anyone seen Paprika, that movie is so cool and so weird!

If its just standard adapter/cosmetic type inclosure, just pick one up at the store if you can locally, and return it if it doesn't work out. If you just want access to the PS2 I'd recommend networking it in any case. Though buying the special adapter might be pricey, I'm not sure. The newer models have an RJ45 port built in afaik.

Thank-you for the advice, yeah the usb thing is just to connect it to my laptop, I have an old ps2 so I can put it directly into the network adapter :)
18  Be Your True Mind / The Turnstile / Does anyone know about HDD enclosures? on: February 28, 2008, 11:26:20 PM
I was wondering if anyone could help me troubleshoot whats wrong with my setup for the HDD or confirm that the enclosure is infact broken.

Basically I think my HDD enclosure is broken, or HDL Dumb(program for transferring games onto ps2 HDD) is being a big jerk and randomly not working... but I'm pretty sure it's HDD enclosure.

Basically, I set up the enclosure (I can never remember how to have the jumper pin for an external HDD so I try it in all positions, including out) and my computer never recognizes it (I don't think it does normally though- since its a ps2 formatted drive)

And HDL Dumb doesn't recognize it either(which is normally does)....

Oh also the Light is Green.... I don't remember what Green means.... I think The Hard drive is connected but not to the computer?
I know Red means everything is good.

PS: I know the Red Light/Green light defies everything about logic.

Any tidbit of information would help at this point, thank you.

Ok so I'm confused is the Aegis Episode a stand alone game?
And FES also makes the normal game longer/adds a new social link?
And a different ending- what else am I missing?
Or rather what have I messed up in what I know of FES to be?

Just in time for my birthday...on the 28th... hint, hint.
21  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: DS or PSP on: February 25, 2008, 03:23:54 PM
I really like the psp, in theory. But since Emulation/Iso use for the psp is so easy and widespread that not a lot of effort is spent making games for it cause the sales are always so low... or atleast that's my understanding of why there are very few good games for it.

I'm a bit scared that it compares itself to the BR manga cause that was xXxtreme... if you catch my drift....
My mom bought me them it was funny but awkward... and I didn't know how to ask her to stop buying my manga's with explicit sex scenes every other page...

that's so cool.  Although as much as I would like to see FES released here I don't think I would play it - I haven't got a lot of time and Im so far behind on my gaming.
24  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Dance Dance Revolution on: February 18, 2008, 09:14:19 PM
All right I decided to create this thread as a general interest thread and because I want advice on a new mat (Internet reviews are so.... contradictory that every where I've looked for reviews on every mat gave them 1-5 stars so if anyone would like to reccomend something that would be nice. )  I would also like to note that my ps2 is a bit messed and MadCatz dance Mats don't work on them.  I had two, 1 I had had for 2 years, the other I had was three years old but I only had it for 1 1/2 years (got it used from a friend).

Random Tangent of Meandering: But then I screwed around with my ps2 and hard drive stuff and then they stopped working on it. Because the analog no longer automatically boots up on my ps2 and at the same time the lights stopped lighting up on the dance mats - thusly I concluded that they ran off of analog power - ps: I trouble shooted a lot to come to that conclusion... aka they worked on my friends ps2, they worked on the new ps2 I bought so I wouldn't need to replace them- until I screwed up the analog on that one and ebgames wouldn't give me my money back or even store credit even though it was still under waranty)

So I currently use a Konami Mat as my primary mat, it works well... doesn't slip too much...but due to careless censored folding the buttons have gotten wonky.
I also have an Intec mat, well it's my friends she keeps it here so we can play 2 player, but I really don't like that mat.

My two favorite version of DDR would be DDR Extreme 2 or DDR Party Collection.

Also thinking about trying Pump It Up or In the Groove.

So... DMC4 = Awesome! I was playing it at a friends on the weekend.

And also I have tried contacting Jose myself and I'm pretty sure his disappearance is due to computer problems- he was trying to build his own and he does have limited funds so maybe he messed up a part and hasn't been able to replace it yet.

Sorry for the lack of admins in in the site, I would update the site myself but I don't have all the information to access all the stuff.  But I will try my best to contact him or find out where he's been (through common friends).

sorry about the waiting but Jose is in the process of rebuilding his pc and I was given limited Administrative powers.
Also Jose still needs to get some of the website's information from Tony (why the News hasn't been on the main page).  Umm... the problem isn't that we don't have content at the moment but moreso getting it up

Lol! I fully thought it was like you getting interrogated... why does your school look like a police station?
29  Be Your True Mind / Digital Millennium / Re: Current Favorite Anime. on: January 06, 2008, 05:57:16 PM
that's true, but buying bootlegged you don't need to worry about any of the troubles related to downloading, or getting a torrent with low health, and you don't need to worry about filling up your hd (not a problem for everyone I suppose) also since they have cases and are labeled it's easier to sort/recognize the dvds... but that's just my opinion.

Also sometimes I'm like "OoooooOOooh that one looks fun" *buy*
I've ended up with some good movies/anime and some bad...

I love bootlegged anime from chinatown, however mine is from Toronto's Chinatown (slightly closer)
