EDIT:  :help: Sorry can you explain to me this "rogers.com" thing, is just I don´t know it. frown

Looks like they're an internet provider up in Canada that provides e-mail addresses you can access from Yahoo.com, but aren't actually free. I have one of these through AT&T. You'd have to have their service to get the e-mail.

You really are awesome, you know that? Thanks for this. I'll be looking into logging into it tomorrow. I did have a login for the Persona 3 web game, but I can't recall it.

Also, I have no problems with double posting here as long as both posts offer something decent. I only am bothered with it when people use a second post to correct their first post instead of editing. You're good to go lol.

Thanks for the heads up. I posted an entry here: http://www.digitaldevildb.com/archives/persona-3/2007/11/more-information-on-trinity-soul/

I tried to decipher as much of the online translation I could from the site. It unveils some character information and some other things. Anyone feel free to let me know if I am incorrect about anything there. I wasn't really able to make out a lot of it, particularly the last paragraph.

I'm slightly surprised they don't have a Paypal option of any sort.

Like you mentioned, it might just be denying weird purchases. Buying something on a really obscure Japanese site like this isn't terribly common. Maybe if you called the credit card company they might be able to OK it?
35  Be Your True Mind / Find Your Voice / Re: Staff Updates on: November 28, 2007, 12:52:05 PM
I know you don't like Emilio lol. He's a nice guy and very helpful though.

QBasic: OK, that's all I was looking to know. I wasn't trying to start arguments, but in any case it seems to have worked out fine so I am happy lol. :)

Emilio is actually one of a couple of people helping out with the demonary and as such is becoming staff. Gathering data, images, etc. Obviously English isn't his first language, so I'll help him edit anything, but a vast majority of the work is gathering things to begin with. He and a few other people will be added to the staff page soon.

And yes, I'd be interested in news posts from you if you would like to do it. The system we have now is pretty simple (title the entry, write it, pick the category, submit). However, I'm moving every thing over to a new system and as such I think it might be better for me to wait until that's all set. I can send some information over to you about how to do all of that when it's ready, if that's cool with you. I imagine it won't be more than a couple of weeks, because I really want to get this going.

If people want to help out all they have to do is tell me or ask me... I'm totally open to it and always have been. It just hasn't come up very often lol.

Yeah, that's actually something that I've been asked before... One of the people who contacted me to help with the site is specifically interested in doing that. Not a full walkthrough or anything, but like you're saying, kind of like for special things... boss walkthroughs, etc.

I actually have quite a bit of bandwidth to spare, but like you say Youtube is so easy to use and it costs nothing. Plus it gets links into the main site and whomever made it gets their name up there. It's definitely something that would help set the place apart.

We did have one YouTube video, although someone else put it up for me. I did this like "first 45 minutes of Persona 3" video, but it was so long it required a director's account which I didn't have. I did upload it myself to Gametrailers and Gamevideos, though, which we could also do with these.

If that's something you or anyone else want to do, I'm totally open to that.  I'd be more than willing to put a very heavy focus on them on the main site or whatever else the creator of each video wants. We could, for example, add a strategy section and link to the videos. Obviously, like most things it's not something one person could do so the more people interested the better I would say. I do think it's an excellent idea.

Ah! I forgot all about that free e-mail address issue. I have a few that aren't, so I'll give them a try and take some screen grabs if I can.

I'm not sure how many of you remember that online game that was on the Japanese Persona 3 website. I never got anywhere in it since I don't know Japanese.

I noticed today that they have a new game on atlusnet.jp. It's called Digital Devil Arcanum. I'm not entirely sure what it provides mostly because I can't seem to create a new ID (when registering it says "array:" and doesn't let me proceed. You can view it here: http://jakyo.atlusnet.jp/

Atlusnet also has two podcasts about this game (http://www.atlusnet.jp/netradi/index.html), but yet again I have no idea what they are about.

There also appears to be some news items about it, but I'm still trying to sort all of that out: http://www.atlusnet.jp/topic/list?topic_type_id=4&category=portal_topics

Any ideas?
39  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / Megaten Hell / Atlus Vegas? on: November 28, 2007, 11:23:17 AM
I visited Atlus's today (it's just hard to find anything of value on this compared to Atlusnet, so I don't go much). I noticed an interesting image that has apparently been up there for a while. It mentions something called Atlus Vegas.

The image links to a page that just contains an even larger image: http://www.atlus.co.jp/sl/atlus_vegas.html

Since I can't highlight any of this text I can't attempt to have any tools translate it. Does anyone have any idea what this is? I assumed it was simply some sort of gambling/pachinko type thing at first, but the image doesn't seem to imply that.

One of the images shows a link to amiblo.jp, which appears to be some sort of blogging site.

Any ideas?

Yes, I still have those. I was having some issues moving the section over to the new layout, but yet again that mostly came down to my time. I plan on that being done at the same time as the new CMS is set up.

I can mail them to you in the meantime, if you wish.

I deleted what I wrote here initially. I was just teasing in fun, but I don't want it to be taken the wrong way. I'm not a vindictive person, honestly lol.

In any case, thanks for the news even if it took me so long to post it that it's not new anymore. If I don't respond to a thread in here on the same day, please just PM me and I'll definitely check it out. I get e-mails when that happens, so it's a lot more obvious. However, I'm trying to restructure my schedule so that I check this out on a daily basis.
42  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: how can create a nick caracter? on: November 27, 2007, 11:39:19 PM
There is a way to write non-Japanese characters in the game. I believe it's mentioned in one of the threads in this section, although perhaps someone remembers exactly how to do it.

Just an opinion:

Do you think it will be good to open a Thread where people put images and the description of the items? Maybe LostPerson can help us in here, anyway, just an opinion.

I think if we to were go ahead with the Wiki idea that would be one of the things it could be used for, definitely. It might be a better setup that just posting things in a thread here, it'd get really cluttered.

Edit - Also I think maybe I should move the Wiki discussion into a new thread or something (I can move all the posts over), unless no one minds. That's obviously not what this one was for, sorry for that.
44  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: STICKY: Playdates and trading in here! on: November 27, 2007, 05:38:58 PM
The fact that you can play it for free doesn't hurt either. The CP system honestly doesn't seem like a bad idea compared to monthly fees, but I doubt it'd ever fly well over here... so many companies seem dead-set against it.

I think in this case I have a question. Obviously my first and foremost concern is moving the site over to the new CMS setup. So I have two options as far as this is concerned.

1.) Install the Wiki now and point every one in its direction so that they can do whatever they wish with it. Keeping in mind that I won't be able to give it much attention beyond that until the CMS stuff is done.

2.) Have me wait until the CMS is all set up (I imagine this will be done within the next couple of weeks, give or take). Then I can install the Wiki and help work on it more than I otherwise could.

It really doesn't matter to me. I guess it really just depends on if anyone is interested in taking initial charge of it and making some basic sections.
45  MEGAMI TENSEI™ Uncensored / IMAGINE Online / Re: STICKY: Playdates and trading in here! on: November 27, 2007, 11:58:41 AM
Well, I'm wondering... this game seems like the best single thing to perhaps start out our own Wiki about. While I don't know that it's necessary for the main games like Persona 3, for example (particularly since the main site would be doubling up all the content), it does make sense for IMAGINE specifically. It's far more malleable than a normal game, obviously, since it's constantly being updated... It'd be hard to really keep the main site on top of its various setups; Wikis fit that a lot better. It just suits the game type more.

It depends on how seriously people here play the game, I suppose. We could do it from scratch or perhaps we can even see about working with the Japanese Wiki people and offering an English version of that (even for me, between playing it and reading a terrible Google translation I can figure out how to phrase things properly). They might be more friendly about it. Getting our own screens isn't much of an issue and I'm more than willing to host larger images... Part of the revamp of the main site is increasing the thumbnail size significantly as it is lol.

I'm sure we can get somewhere with it. After all, I did that whole setup guide seemingly before anyone else had really written an English anything about the title. And I don't know Japanese whatsoever.

If anyone is interested in it let me know. If not, that's obviously fine. This does seem like one case where making an alternate Wiki seems worthwhile since they are locking their information down.
