Title: Persona 3 Atlus Interview
Post by: Tony on August 31, 2007, 10:30:08 AM
Hey everyone. Just writing to inform you that our interview with Atlus for Persona 3 is posted on the site. There's some discussion of FES, older SMT releases, the Japanese rating versus the US's M rating and so forth.

Some of the questions were crafted before anyone at this site got to actually play the game (not to mention those who submitted questions in our forum). In those cases, anyone who has played the title will know how those components work. They're being left in the interview for completion's sake, but also because there is some interesting insight at times.

Super big thanks to both Aram and Yu at Atlus for taking the time to help us out, despite the headaches of the delay, E3 and other releases in the pipeline.

Good work! But it was a shame they cannot contact the graphic disigners for the interview.  :frown:

It's a real shame that they won't even consider localizing the older SMT titles.

After finishing Persona 3, I actually don't feel too bad that FES is not being localized. I would love to see the main game additions, but the meat of FES is the Aigis episode and it's not something I feel is necessary at all.

It's a miss/hit with me. Gratetful for the artbook and music cd? Very much so, thank you Atlus! Admittedly seeing the additional characters like Metis and more about the preexisting ones would  have been  a real treat. However despite all the "new  stuff" I don't think a new ending was added so it is not a crippling loss. Atlus didn't delibertly gyp us. It was more of a matter of timing. I was elated that P3 made it to western shores to begin with.

Commentary by the artist would have been nice but I understand how busy graphic designers are. I'd just like to say I loved the art direction in P3 and though I had a beef with the anime cutscenes at first after I thought about it more I realized they integrated into the game perfectly. Congrats to everyone involved including  programmers,artists,animators,story-boarders,directors, and composers!
