Title: Bust A Groove
Post by: Tsunehito on December 14, 2006, 11:35:14 PM
Does anyone else remember this game, or love it as much as I do? :D I JUST found out that they made a sequel (Kinda) to BAG2, Dance Summit 2001. But yeah, that came out nearly seven years ago in Japan only. So we lose (as usual). D:

(Edit: If, by any chance, someone were to find him or herself utterly filled to the brim with holiday spirit and were able to find any audio files of Dance Summit for download, I'd be immensely grateful. .__. )

Y'know, this is a real coincidence, cause I just found Bust A Groove 2 in my collection and have no idea when the hell I got it. Played it, it reminded me of DDR but had different enough gameplay to get me hooked for a while. I keep losing at the robot's stage though. :/

I wish my copy was so easily attained. I had to hunt one down on the net and when it came it had a big crack in the case. >.< You and your magic video game spawning shelf...

It sounds kind of dumb, but count the beats in your head (or aloud, if you're alone or feel no shame. >.>) Also, as with any other stage, try to memorize/anticipate when a solo sequence is about to begin, then attack one beat before. It doesn't always work, but if it hits, you'll get a big leap ahead in points assuming you don't panic and get disoriented like I do every time a solo starts. D:

See? Everyone loves Bust A Groove! Which is exactly why we should've gotten Dance Summit. -squeaks-

I miss BAG. I need to play those games again. I find myself humming Hamm's song randomly -- the music from those games is so addictive. O_O I remember seeing Dance Summit played at a con a loooooong time ago (while we were all standing around in Persona costumes, no less XD) -- and it seemed like an awesome game. I was really sad when they never brought it over. D:

i know! I have all music on my mp3 and I listen to it constantly. I also find myself bursting out into song on occasion...

"It's cold in here, turn the heat on"
"The Heat is On! Bah-da-da-da-dah!"
"...Turn the heater on."
" ._. Mou.."

No one gets me. >.>
